NFL Salary Cap Status
http://espn.go.com/nfl/columns/clayt...n/1510617.html
A table showing the present status of every team in relation to the salary cap. I really only post it because of the number listed for Denver. There is no way that can be correct, right? |
Why can't it be correct?
|
I don't know whether or not it's a typo, but when I first saw it, it actually cracked me up. I dunno why, but I found it genuinely funny.
Neither of my teams are exactly sitting pretty, btw. Oakland and Tennessee are both cutting it close. It doesn't matter, the Titans will keep on keeping on, and the Raiders will return to power, no doubt. |

That's hilarious. Reminds me...who was it a couple years ago who signed a big contract and his favorite number was 9 or something, thereby his contract was something like $9,999,999?
I know it's vague but I wouldn't be surprised if djtestudo knows anyway. |

But no, seriously, why can't a team ever have a salary exactly right up to the cap? |
Because it allows theme no buffer to acquire/trade/sign players
It's a very dangerous place to be in [edit] my guess is typo |
hrmm the pats are pretty close too. I never hear anything about this from the boston media. I wonder if they could make room if they needed to in some way that wouldn't really hurt them.
shrug shrug |
