I thought it might be good to have a thread about Maria Sharapova's talent rather than her looks!

What a performance to beat Serena in her first grandslam! I think I wasnt surprised with how well Maria played, but her self assurance was really impressive. At 17, against a great champion like Serena, Maria never looked to show any self doubt and she always believed in herself that she could and would win!

Well done Maria!

ok.. my prediction about Grossjean didnt turn out quite so good....

I was really impressed with her performance. She looked like the confident veteran out there while Williams looked uncertain and apprehensive. She dismantled Williams. She is the future.
