i wonder what would have happened if Iginla had gotten off the shot right at the end there... oh well... It's shaping up to be a grand series!

That hook on conroy was such a dive though, but i guess it could have been called either way.... I'm sure there will be plenty of complaining about the officiating though nonetheless

The game came down to two stupid penalties in my opinion. Clark in the first to create the 5 on 3 and then Nemo at the end there. Also Bulin standing on his freakin ear didn't help either.

Ah well, was a good game for the most part and now I get a chance to get some game 6 tickets. Flames winning the cup at home on Saturday night would be fantastic.

That was a hard loss to take. You cant help but feel just robbed when it was such a close game and the only goal scored was on a 5-3 powerplay.

Yea that was gay. That 5-3 was brutal, not the call, but just the fact of having it. Calgary in six is still my prediction. They will come back.

The game was great, the refs sucked. How can they give a 5 on 3 so early, call 5 min major for Nemo's hit was BS and I am not a biased fan (however I do want the Flames). The refs screwed this game up but it was still a fun one to watch.

Nemienen's hit was truly dirty. So was the louder boo'ing when Lecavalier got back up. I left the room for a minute after that incident. The line between hockey and violence is often thin, and it crossed it on that hit. Say he was faking it all you want - a hit to the back isn't something to be taken lightly. For all we know, Lecavalier may have a concussion as a result. I am routing for the Flames now, but after that hit, I didn't believe they, as a team with Nemienen, deserved to win. The ejection was deserved, to say the least.

It was a pretty dirty hit, I was disgusted... but mainly because I love Lecavalier, and hate Neminen... him and his big smily face GRRRR :mad:... But i love the rest of the flames haha, just hate Neminen

And I'm all for calling 5-3 power plays if there are penalties to be called.

Oh? What about Pratt's retaliation.. it would have been a 4 on 3 situation at WORST.

It was a great game though. Lot's of scoring chances by both teams all the way through. Had me on the edge of my seat for the final period thats for sure.

Any chance of Nemienen getting a 1 game suspension? Talk is the league is reviewing the play. Did someone really imply faking? He freakin' drove his head into the glass with his elbow from behind. Totally deserved a major. That is just a stupid penalty though. How do you do that when your team is down with 4 minutes to go?

I think it is a love/hate relationship with Calgary fans and Neimenen..... We love him when he makes good plays, but when he is constantly fighting and makes stupid mistakes we hate the fuckin guy. Regardless of who you are chearing for- the reffing in that game was cheap. The missed alot of potential good calls and screwed Calgary in the first 5 minutes of the game with the 2nd penalty.

Both penalties may have been justified but there was another call that was justified and not called and that was the retaliation on Clark.

If Vinny's out on the ice tomorrow night he's going to have a bit of a target painted on him. Going to ba a good game to watch.

I don't know what it is, but every time I see Vinny I want to hit him with a sack full of doorknobs. I'll admit he is a hell of a hockey player...but there is just something about him that angers me.

Hopefully the NHL will start cracking down on head hunters.. even stillman should of been suspended for his hit in game 1 was it? Anyway, if you get caught headhunting like that, they should call atleast a 2 minute penalty, have it reviewed quick to see if 5 and or a game misconduct is in order.. And possible suspensions from then on..

Yeah, the hit would have been fine if he had not punched Vince in the back of the head. THe suspension was justified IMO.

Doesn't matter, maybe the suspension was justified, I could see that. What pisses me off about the situation is the inconsistancy in which all these hits are being called. There have been some questionable hits from both sides in this series and Nemo's the one who gets targeted. It was the same in Detroit. The lesson learnt is that as long as it's not a star player, it's ok. At least that's what I'm getting from it all.

I agree, the NHL is the most inconsistant of any sport in refereeing games.. Although i do think an elbow is alot harder then a fist..
