Man,
That a bad break. He really is a nice guy, hopefully he can heal well. Not for nothing but the pitch could have been thrown above, it just shows you the inexperience some of these guys need to deal with. ANd I have Posada on my Fantasy team .

Posada was drilled in the face by a throw from the Angels shortstop.
I would like to believe that it was completely unintentional. I'm sure it's simply an unfortunate accident.

That was pretty harsh... imagine running full speed at someone and having them throw a hard, 5oz. ball as hard at they can RIGHT at your face when you're about 8 feet away. Crunch!

I saw on ESPN that he was scheduled to have surgery and he was supposed to be out 3-4 games, with no trip to the DL.
Tough luck for Posada, but it could have been much worse.
