Posada
Man,
That a bad break. He really is a nice guy, hopefully he can heal well. Not for nothing but the pitch could have been thrown above, it just shows you the inexperience some of these guys need to deal with. ANd I have Posada on my Fantasy team . |
I saw that on the news this morning, tough break, no pun intended.
Uhh... what happened?
Posada was drilled in the face by a throw from the Angels shortstop.
I would like to believe that it was completely unintentional. I'm sure it's simply an unfortunate accident. |
That was pretty harsh... imagine running full speed at someone and having them throw a hard, 5oz. ball as hard at they can RIGHT at your face when you're about 8 feet away. Crunch!
I saw on ESPN that he was scheduled to have surgery and he was supposed to be out 3-4 games, with no trip to the DL.
Tough luck for Posada, but it could have been much worse. |
Tough break, but you cant blame the guy throwing the ball. In that situation it is the runners job to get down, the guy turning the DP doesnt have to worry about it, he just throws.
Ouch... Sounds like he's pretty lucky
He is a tough MFer. He was not Bryan Barker, but he was pretty beat up. I think people may now mistake him for a latin hockey player. . .
Posada is a nice cool guy, it sucks to see him get hurt like that. He is my favorite player.
I find it very difficult to feel sorry for any Yankee but he got a tough break....
