Holy Crap AVS win one

But they still got outplayed. Didn't wake up untill overtime. Even then, they appeared to just get lucky. Sharks aren't giving 'em anything.

Ya they got lucky that Rathje lost the puck and got a little hook from behind, so Joe could catch Nabakov off guard. They may have been outplayed but they did get the win and that's all that matters.

Escuse me? The Aves dominated the whole game! Look at the stats! Shots on goal, faceoffs won, etc! The Aves played a better game than the Sharks. They just couldn't get through the goaltender. Both goalies were on top of their game. It was a great game to attend.

Most avs games look like that, but those are just stats, and they don't mean we played better, and half the time doesn't even result in a win. We looked good on paper, but again it was the Sharks who were really on top of their game. Their passes are precise, their defense is solid, and they are doing it consistently. The Avs are having a much harder time getting set up in the offensive zone than are San Jose. We need to find a way around that. Or a way through it.

It's not just stats. The aves were in control of the puck for most of that game! I was there! Yes, they controlled the puck a bit, as is to be expected, but they in no way outplayed us! The aves outplayed San Jose for the second game in a row. Their goalie stole the first one we had at home, but wasn't able to do that again.

I wouldn't count on you being right about that.

Good old Burnaby Joe. Coming up clutch yet again. He is the only person keeping the Avs in it.

Yep, this is about when the Sharks start questioning themselves and playing nervous. Its still a long road for the Avs, but still I think they're the better team.

I don't follow Hockey as much as I should but from when I last checked the Avs were down 2-0 in the series. Are the Avs back in it? I've been a long time avs fan so any info would be appreciated.

Okay, so the media's been pointing out that only twice before has a team come back from a 3-0 series deficit to win the series. The Isles in '75 and another team that doesn't immediately come to mind in the 40's.

Do you think that the Avs can do it? They're halfway there already....

Actually, I think it's a combination of both Super Joe and Abby.

'40s, then '75... I think it's time to add the Aves and this year to that list! We can do it! GO AVES!

I think the whole team's srarting to play a lot better, even Selane. He had a great game. Sacic and Forsberg are starting to come together again, which can be a beautiful thing.

Well, Avs are done. What a shitty performance. Worst performance of the series in the most important game. Well, go flames, I guess.

Yep, we're done for this season... there's always next year...
Go Flames! Anyone who beats Vancouver and Detroit is a friend of mine... at least until we play them!
