so will M Schumacher win this race to or will McLaren win this, or will Williams with there new nose come up to speed fast, maybe Renault if there startcontrooler system works with the current rules :)

bellzboy 03-10-2004 05:46 PM

Ferrari will win it, there are too many horsepower sections. I wouldn't say it has to be Schumacher, either driver could take it. I don't really think the other teams are quite up to speed yet.

archer2371 03-10-2004 06:33 PM

Actually the Beamers have always done really well at Malaysia so I wouldn't be surprised if JP Montoya takes it. (Even tho I am cheering for Schuey).

Its going to be hot there, and with the new regs, will any car finish?

DaGus 03-11-2004 02:43 AM

sure its going to be hot but the weather forecast tells me that there are going to be wet and very wet on the track

castex 03-11-2004 09:10 AM

Let's hope it pours, although with traction control still there to bail-out the numpties, it no longer makes anything like the difference it should.

Serpent 03-11-2004 05:10 PM

traction control only works above 100kph, except for renault who are somehow bending the rules to get it to work at 0.

castex 03-12-2004 03:36 AM

Now there's something I didn't know.

DaGus 03-12-2004 03:40 AM

no, TC works from 0 at all cars, that was easy to check at ausie GP at the start there was zero smoke from the rear tyres on all cars

so that traction control only works above 100kph is wrong

castex 03-12-2004 03:53 AM

Ah, Sweden. What's happening in Sweden, Daniel? Where's the new Ronnie Peterson? There was a man that needed neither traction, nor launch control; a true great.

Thank you for posting some fabulous photos!

I shall look forward to seeing young Mr Wirheim yumping and drifting his way around the great European tracks in the years to come...Oh. Um, no, wait;)

Anyway, I see things panning out something like this:

1. JPMontoya
2. Button
3. Rubens
4. Raikkonen
5. Alonso

Schumacher DNF's, having been collected at the first corner by a fast-starting Trulli.

I really hope Button gets on that darn podium, but who knows.

What do you guys think of drivers paying there way into a drive over the last few years?

bundy 03-21-2004 05:41 PM

i feel so bad for Webber.
the first Aussie to be on the front row of a GP since the sixties... and he fucks up the start... i think he went from second to second last in about 50metres.

bugger.

cartmen34 03-22-2004 11:54 AM

Well, chalk up another one to schumi. I've got to be honest, I'm getting tired of seeing him at the top step of the podium all the time. Assuming that things progress on as they have so far, then it looks like another Red year. *sigh....zzzzzzz*

Dammit, I wish the other teams would get off their ass and figure out what makes that car so magical.....

cartmen34 03-22-2004 11:56 AM

And oh yeah, Jag...you should be ashamed, giving such a good driver a faulty car.......and congrats to button and BAR! I'm so happy to see that team finally making forward progress!
