FOR SALE: Denver Fans Take Note
Be the first on your block to own my well used Champ Bailey Jersey!
Ok Just kidding, but I am bummed on this thing. It is not that I am unhappy with getting one of the best, most exciting players in the game in return....It is just that I loved having Champ on the team. He is a shut down corner and can really change a game. Smart teams don't throw to his side of the field. You don't see his stardom in his stats - corners are hard to measure. The BAD ones seem to have more tackles. This is becuse they get beat and have to MAKE a tackle. This guy is not just fast - there are lots of those out there. He is also smart. He really reads the plays and can anticipate really well. Maybe a subject for this thread can be jerseys you own that have little use since the player is gone. Retired player's Jerseys are fine. Traded / Free agent jerseys suck. Any takers? |

My brother had an Alexei Yashin Senators Jersey. I think he got rid of it shortly after Yashin was traded to the Islanders following a year-long contract dispute. Easily the most hated player in Sens history.
He once made a 1 million dollar donation to an Arts Centre, then his mother made him take it back. |

Only jersey I own is a gray practice jersey signed by a number of Avs third and fourth liners. Right now, two are hurt, one might be traded soon, and one was claimed off of waivers.

I think you get a one-year grace period for wearing jerseys of players who have been traded or left in FA. So, this year you could still wear that Bailey jersey, but not after this season. Unless the guy is a real jack-ass who makes it clear he is only concerned with the money.

I own a Duane Starks Ravens Jersey. I am visiting Arizona this fall and am thinking about taking it with me to a Cardinals game. Although that dark purple in the AZ sun may be a bit too much.

I don't think he is a jackass on the money thing. I think the 'Skins saw that they had Fred Smoot on the other side of the ball and knew that they could make him #1 without paying Bailey the millions. Having the highest paid defensive player as a CB is prety crazy. He is the best CB, but the question maybe is that I would think the best LB in the league changes a game more than the best CB. Not sure. They signed LaVar to big money and that may have made it tough to have two of the most expensive players on the same side of the ball. |
