I always spell tru(e)ly wrong, so I don't care anymore
Dammit, I'm running low on questions...Who holds the record for most home runs allowed in a single season?

Bert Blyleven?
I remember that because two or three years ago. Jose Lima was on pace to give up some ridiculous number like 75 or 80 and shatter Blyleven's record. Assuming I'm correct Here goes: What pitcher holds the MLB record for having Three Picked Off runners in one inning? DJTestudo since you should already know this one by heart you have to tell me who the catcher was and who they were playing against.

Well, if you insist
I'm not 100% sure about the pitcher but I believe it was Tippy Martinez. As for the rest of it, Baltimore's other catchers were out of the game, so utility player Len Sakata was forced to catch. Each of the three Blue Jays hitters who got on base were so anxious to steal on Sakata, they forgot about the pitcher and were picked off. Sakata then came up the next inning and hit a game winning homer.

Just as long as you know
For my question, an easy one. Who has the most career losses as a manager?

Ok........
Philly and NY are 2 of the 5 cities that contained MLB teams (since 1920) at the same time. Name another city, the 2 teams and the new city one relocated to. (this should be real easy so making it a multi parter won't matter much) Example: NY had the Yankees and Giants, the Giants moved to San Francisco. Extra credit if you can name all the cities and teams and moves.

Since I have a question, I'll assume that I'm right (as if I need to ).
What were the original teams that made up the National league at its founding in 1876?

Good Job DJ. May not agree in politics but we both share a love for baseball so you have to be a decent man.
I'll let another answer this one. get some new blood in the mix.

I object.....A Henson question would be a highly publicized baseball question that may seem like a great question, but really is only at about a AA level. Then the question decides to become a football question instead. Now...please continue.

Boston Red Stockings, Chicago White Stockings, Cincinnati Red Legs, Hartford Dark Blues, Louisville Grays, Philadelphia Athletics, Brooklyn Mutuals and St. Louis Browns.
With Chicago beating the Grays 4-0 in the season opener. Baseball history is a beautiful thing to read and know about. For a game that builds itself on tradition and the past they keep reliving it with teams facing bankruptcy and owners not wanting to share the money with each other. Ok an easy one now........... What was Albert Belle's first official "baseball name" extra points if you can tell why he changed it.

Sorry...I had the Brooklyn team listed as the "New York" Mutuals, but their home field was in Brooklyn, so nice job.
As for your question, that would be my good friend Joey Belle.

Lol no he changed it because he went through alcohol rehab in what was supposed to be his first Major year and felt Albert was a more "mature" name.
To show where maybe he had some head problems, early in life his mother claimed that the Indians brainwashed him into thinking he had a drinking problem. But there were stories here in Cleveland and to basically summarize them, if he hadn't gotten the help, he would have never made the majors for any team. Albert through all his head problems does have my respect in that he sought help and overcame his addiction. Sad story his, he was a hard working player who just couldn't get away from the press, he truly wasn't a bad guy. Don't know about what he's like now tho.

I feel evil today so I'm giving a very hard question.
Everyone knows why Babe Ruth was sold by the Red Sox to the Yankees. Before that, he was a Baltimore Oriole for a short time, before being sold to Boston. Why was he sold by the Orioles? And as a bonus, what other player was sold along with him who later became a part of baseball legend?

I only know half the answer to this one. Funny thing is, the Ruth to the Yankee deal might never have happened if Connie Mack and the Philadelphia A's had not first passed on Ruth before the Orioles sold him to the Red Sox because the Orioles were in financial straights thanks to the Federal League plunking a team in Baltimore. Ironically, it was also financial reasons that sent Ruth to the Yankees. I can't even begin to speculate who the player might be so I'll just throw a name out:
Ray Chapman? |

Nice job. Ray Chapman isn't it, though.
HINT: The player was a pitcher.
