How will 'Sheed bear leaving behind his distinguished and storied one-game career as a Hawk? I hope the jersey companies didn't produce too many Atlanta Rasheed replicas.

Cant wait to see Sheed in the pistons uni.... it was a good pick up for detriot... not only will it give the pistons points... but it also frees up cap room to sign memo in the offseason...

I think his Hawks jersey will become a collector's item, due to its rarity. Also I heard that he's one of a small number of Hawks to average 20+ points playing for them

With Rasheed in Detroit, the Pistons finally have the frontcourt scorer that they need to put themselves at the top of the east. With 'Sheed and Big Ben controlling the middle, it will be difficult for opponents to get anything in the lane.

Who knows if Rasheed will stay in Detroit for long, as another thread here pointed out. He orginally wanted to go to NY, and as volatile as he is, who knows what Detroit is really getting. What did he do in Portland except rack up technicals, smoke pot and piss off the coaches, the fans & management? I don't automatically think he's going to make Detroit that much better just because he's there. It looks good on paper but theres a big chance it could be a bust.

The Pistons just shorted themselves on ball handlers. Giving up Atkins and Sura has got to hurt them. If anything happens to Chauncey, like last year...
But, now Detroit has the most versatile frontcourt in the league. They can play small and fast with Wallace, Wallace and Prince. They can go huge with Okur, Campbell, Wallace. Big Nasty is still a weapon off the bench. Now, with Artest out indefinitely, the Nets are the only obstacle.

Rasheed's "bad rep" was largely underserved and fueled by the press and environment around him. I think moving to a new environment will help Rasheed and he will return to being the dominant player he was just a few years ago. I also think this makes Detroit the only team out of the East with a credible shot at winning the title. They will not be that short on ballhandlers since they picked up Mike James and might pick Hunter back up if he's waived by the Celtics.
