ESPN reports that the New York Knicks have completed a three-way trade involving the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks.

Atlanta center Nazr Mohammed and Bucks forward Tim Thomas will go to New York and the Knicks will send Keith Van Horn to Milwaukee. Also, New York's Michael Doleac and Bucks center Joel Przybilla will head to Atlanta as part of the deal.

The deal is expected to be announced later on Sunday.

With the two deals, Thomas continues to sever ties with the Scott Layden regime. Layden acquired Van Horn in August in a controversial trade for Latrell Sprewell. Doleac was signed last year as a free agent.

I do not like Isiah Thomas one bit, but congratulations to him for trying to get this time out from under a horrendous salary cap situation.

If NY ever wants to contend again, they need to move players like Van Horn. They have too much money tied up in a few underachieving players.

Thomas has traded Clarence Weatherspoon, Antonio McDyess, Charlie Ward, Howard Eisley, Maciej Lampe, the rights to Milos Vujanic, two draft picks and now Van Horn and Doleac.

wow, i think this defininetly helps out the bucks a lot -- you have skinner at the 5, smith at the 4 (basically a tim thomas clone), van horn at the 3, and redd at the 1 or 2 (i dunno who there other 1 or 2 is)... but thats a pretty good line up

(almost as good as the wizards when they get hughes back!)

Excellent trade for the Knicks. Van Horn was an albatross. He was extremely inconsistent and not aggressive enough. I think Isiah is doing a great job so far.

Its nice for NY to finally have some semblance of a center again.

I don't see how this trade helps the Knicks. Looking at Thomas' stats on NBA.com, Van Horn is better than him in every area.

This trade helps out the knicks more because they got Nazir Muhammed who is athletic and 7 feet and will get them some offensive rebounds and help out Dikemebe when his Knees fail again.
