Can Jeff Gordon win the 500 from the back of the field?

Lol, well, myself and The_Dude are a few of the NASCAR fans here. He's a Dale Jr. fan, and doesn't like Gordon that much, so his answer would be no. It is certainly possible for him to win, he was fastest in one of the practices which shows his capacity to win the Great American Race. Don't count him out, but my money is on Little E or Mark Martin.

Gordon won't win. Earnhardt's team seems to have the restrictor plate racing down to a science. so, I'd pick Dale, Jr. or Michael Waltrip to win.

If I were Stewart, I would be really bummed out. Lead 97 laps and not win, that sucks. Gordon seemed to make a pretty good run, but I didn't see where he eventually finished. Does anyone know?

He finished 8th, it's stronger than he has in the past two years.

Stewart is an ass, I love that commercial where the guy runs over his RC Car with the Cart. That is awesome!

I was at the races over the weekend and really enjoyed it (my first NASCAR event). I never was and still am not a big NASCAR fan, but it was a great time. Our seats were right after the end of turn 2 so all the exciting stuff happened pretty much right in front of us.

I posted this over in the Motors forum - didn't occur to me to look here first for a NASCAR thread - but I have a bunch of pictures up from the event. Check them out.
