Will Anyone Take Champ Bailey?
I just read on ESPN that the stupid Redskins are going to let Bailey test the market. What teams do you all think need him the most? I'm sure the Falcons are going to make some serious draft offers for him, their secondary was horrible this year.

Chiefs ? Colts ?
Well... maybe not Indy, they'll have Peyton eating up all the cap. But any team with a crappy secondary will jump all over Champ. I think KC should take him, their team made a decent run last year, but the passing defence really let the team down in the playoffs. A shutdown corner like him, could spruce things up.

I would think the Chiefs would definitely be very keen on him.

The Lions might be interested. They have his brother, Boss. He and champ have expressed the desire to play on the same team at some time in their careers.

25 y/o and maybe the best corner in the league already? There will be bites for sure. He is one of my favorite 'skins though so I hope he stays.

It's interesting cause almost every team in the NFL needs a CB upgrade.. heh.. I hope the Jets could get him, like the skins took our Coles, Morton, Thomas, and Hall... that Sniving Snyder

Don't worry...Bailey is going nowhere. No team could give up enough to make it worth the Redskins' while.

Champ Bailey is a corner that you DO NOT throw to. There are almost none of those; not even Charles Woodson or Chris McAlister are quite at that very top level. He is someone you keep for as long as you can no matter the cost.

I could argue that he's too much of a man to stay

I have now lost all respect for Champ Bailey... what a jackass
He obviously doesnt care about the Redskins - he just wants to be the highest paid defensive player in the league. A good player would see that he is hurting the team by declining the already ridiculous contract they offered him. He may have the skill, but hes not a "good player" in my book. Its players like these that ruin football. sigh |

I've been thinking to myself that it would be great for the Cowboys to snatch Bailey away from their rivals. I know it will never happen, but hopefully some team makes the Redskins wish they could have kept him ( can Dan Snyder say "Stephen Davis?")

I think Jets should trade John Abraham for a top 7 pick and get Sean Taylor, and pick Jonathan Vilma w/ the Jets pick

The lions have the best shot at getting him... he'll lower his cost soon enough and the redskins hopefully wont get two DP for him... but it might be worth it for Detriot to have something going on defense.
