NBA: Is the West All That?
In the East, theres Indiana, best record in the league. Detroit, New Jersey right there...
Detroit just barely lost to Sacremento tonight by 2, having beaten them earlier in the season. They as good as beat Minnesota, but got robbed by the ref at the buzzer. Many great players (some coming from the West): Artest, O'Neal, Wallace, Kidd, Kenyon Martin, Lebron, Pierce, Boozer, McGrady, Carter, Davis, Marbury... I would you say that the league is more balanced this year than in the last 5 years? Agree/Disagree? |

I still think the West is better than the East right nowbut compared to last year the gap is getting narrow. Indiana has the best record in the NBA, NJ is on a roll and the Pistons are good regardless of their recent slide. The top eight teams in the West has won 30 games compared toi the East where Boston has the eigth spot and the have only won 23 games (23-30). i think when playoff time comes the East should be fine in the finals .

EAst has some good teams. But the East's top team will never be able to compete with the depth of the Lake Show, Kings (especially when Webber will be back), or The Timberpups.
Indiana looks very good against the West 12-6 thus far this season, spliting with the Wolves Spurs Rockets. Although against the a healthy wolves and Lake Show they did get blown out, so that really questions their ability to win in a seven game series. New Jersey has struggled at 8-10 vs. the West. Not to mention alot of their wins were against the Clippers, Suns, and Sonics. Detriot has gone 11-7 vs. the west. They managed to beat Dallas and the Spurs and the Lake Show, but at the same time had some very questionable losses to some of the garbage teams. What it comes down to is 7 games and I just don't see the East being able to pull it off against the stacked western coast teams.
