The NFL Pro Bowl Game
man...for being the "No Fun League", last nights pro bowl was quite entertaining.
if you didnt get to see it, the NFC was trailing by 25 points (38-13) until marc bulger came in and threw 4 touchdowns in just 2 quarters of play. the defenses werent bad either forcing fumbles and catching interceptions like crazy. the game couldve went to overtime in the final seconds with a 51 yard field goal attempt by mike vaderjagt which ended up being wide right. usually the game is more laid back, but this time it looked like everyone was actually competing. the game did show its fun side with the players celebrating and dancing...

Agreed. Watching the NFC players dance after a touchdown was very entertaining. Thanks to them for putting up a good game.

If it were up to me, the Pro Bowl would be played at Canton OH after the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. That way we could celebrate the new inductees, followed by a game featuring future inductees.
Problem with this is that someone could lose their entire season due to a severe injury in a relatively meaningless game at the beginning of training camp, instead at the end of a season when they'd have 5 months to heal before training camp. This was one of the best Pro Bowls in years.

yeah, why the hell is it in Hawaii. Who can afford to fly to watch a 1 day game, since they have gotten rid of most other activities (sand football) due to injuries and owner pressure to keep their players healthy. Porshebunny got it right. Canton.
it was one of the best though. but somebody please play defense. |

Its in Hawaii because its like a vacation for the players. The injury thing is important too. As far as the high score, I think the players could have played some defense if they were allowed to. I heard the announcers say that the DB's can't even jam the receivers or play within five yards of them. They also can't double cover a player. The game is geared for high scoring, and it paid off this year. It was a hell of a game, and I like how they showed all the players celebrating on the sidelines. It was good for the league, unlike the old allstar games for the MLB.

who really cares about the Pro Bowl, I havent watched it for years because the game is pointless and it usually sucks. The super bowl is the game that matters, the Pro Bowl is dumb.
