sports commentary takes a leap forward...

Watchin' the Clippers vs Knicks game, commentary by Ralph Lawler

Stephon Marbury nets a ball from about 32 feet out, 18 left on the shot clock.. he was obviously feeling it.
It just happened to be right from the 'G' on the Madison Square Garden sign on the floor.
So Ralph says, "He must have found the G-spot."

That's hilarious. It makes you wonder if people run what they say through their heads before they actually say it.

haha, reminds me of an NFL film i saw on 50's football and stuff... they were talking about football players endorsing cigarettes and said something around the lines of "not only did they like to kick butts, but smoke them too"

Haha that's hilarious. I fucking hate announcers, but that definitely deserves some credit.

If you're lucky, maybe it'll turn into a national crisis. We've got one going on up here with Don Cherry insinuating that European and French hockey players are sissies. He's been saying that for years, and now the government's disciplining him with a 7 second tape delay in case he needs censoring.

WOW! Color-commentary that was actually off-color and intelligent.

I still wish we could find another modern day hero like John Hinckley who thinks Tim McCarver is trying to send secrets to Al-Queda through moronic observations and paisley ties, and would be willing to end McCarver to save America.

One can dream.

Yesterday someone on the YES Network covering the 76ers and the NJ Nets said that Allen Iverson is tougher than a two dollar steak.

I know who cares? But it stood out!

reminds me of a time when i was watching a cubs game and there was a shot of two people kissing and Harry Caray said "I bet he kisses her on the strikes and she kisses him on the balls."

About how old is that announcer? I can see an old guy not being familiar with that term.

feeling tingly

I don't remember who it was, but during a basketball game, an announcer was complimenting a jump shooter by saying he had "a nice stroke". He then insisted the whole team could use a good stroke.

Couldn't we all?
