There were clearly penalties that weren't called against the devils (none called actually) and all called on tampa.. Then they take away a goal that really should of been a goal.. Distrubing how this can happen in such a professional sport.

yea those bastards, modin didnt mean to kick it in, rafalski obviously kicked it in, damn those bastard refs, they have it in for the lightning, remeber game six against the caps, st. louis had break away then was tripped and got no penatly shot?!

I watched the whole game and I don't see it that way.

Tampa Bay was not playing in control a lot of times and did stupid things right in front of the ref. The Devils play a very even game and don't commit a lot of penalties. They are also not as physical all around so it is easier to stay in control and not get as many penalties.

I am all for a clean game, but the only quick whistle that I saw was the slashing in the 2nd OT. I think it was b/c he had been doing it all game though and changed his grip to a two handed ax handle grip instead of a regluar hockey grip.

Didn't see the series (Once the Rangers got eliminated, I switched into full-on baseball mode) but I know that the Islanders had complaints about the officiating in their series and last year as well. I don't know... I would have liked to see Tampa knock off the Devils (I fucking HATE the Devils) but I guess Tampa needs more experience. I hope they build on this year and their great young team, and not give up and crumble like Carolina did this year.
