Now seriously, who do you expect would have the winning team? Ok let us put it this way, you are starting a brand new franchise you have to choose between Artest and Bron, who would you choose? If you pick Artest explain why..in detail not "O CUZ HE GETZ TEH 2 STEALZ PER GAME1111!".

Also Artest has had around 7 years in the NBA, LeBron is a rookie..and is basically better than Artest.

he is not having a better year if you wont conceed that then debate is meaningless

i would chose artest for his intensty and leadership

he needs a storng coach to control his temper but his intensty is second to none

and others on the team do better becuase they follow his lead on both d and offense

i am not saying leborn is a bad player he is not but as of yet he is untested

lets give it a few years and let the kid devolp

If he goes at this rate than Artest won't be able to hold a candle to Bron. But seriously, Artest has had quite a few years of experience, and is barely better than a rookie out of highschool. Oh and I would choose LeBron. He is 19, averaging 20/6/6 and has massive stay power.

LeBron DOES have leadership, if you traded Artest and LeBron than lets see if Artest can lead a bad team to winning games. He can't, the Cavs can't really win games. Bron has court vision, he is a leader, he LEADS this team.

his team inculding the rookie god himself falls apart late i have had his games shoved down my thourght

there are a ton of examples of the start of the fourth quater this leader and company falling apart

the pacers used to get that as well but they spent a few years getting better adn buliding a team and now are the best team in the east

leborn may get there one day but he is not there yet

ill play devil's advocate and side with artest

okay, lebron is offensively good, statwise. he puts up points per game than artest. then again, he should....thats his job in cleveland. he also has more assists than artest...he should, as he's a point guard. they have about the same rebounding average, so i won't hit on that.

but defense comes in to win this for artest. his defense is crazy as everyone knows. it doesnt matter if he can't shut down lebron...its how he shuts down so many players. he gets the toughest defensive assignment pretty much every night.

artest's steal average is nuts...a little over 2 picks per game, and thats only counting the steals he gets, and not the turnovers he merely forces opponents to give up. offensively, artest is pretty good himself....about 18 ppg, 4 assists....and thats all while busting his ass at the other end of the court playing defense. he also commits less turnovers.

artest also has playoff experience (a huge plus), and knows what its like to be a roleplayer. what happens when lebron has to focus on something other than what he's used to? im interested in seeing how lebron will perform in the second half of the season, where teams really start to clamp down and work for those playoff spots.

right now artest is just better.

I hate Ron Artest... I think the fans would have wanted to see Lebron over Artest any day

that does not make leborn the better player

and for that matter if the fans wanted him in so much they should of voted the rookie in as a starter
