Adam Vinitari

Just wanted to give a shout out to my home town boy Adam Vinitari. That's 2 Superbowls he's captured for the Patriots now in case nobody was counting...

he had a bad game today. he makes one field goal at the end and that's all well and good but his other two attempts were nothing short of horrendous.

If he had made his first two attempts, the Patriots wouldn't have needed his last-minute game winner.

Sorry to hear it didn't go to a deserving player.

He made a great kick at the end, but if he made either of the others it probably wouldn't have mattered.

I very much agree the_dude. i also agree that had he made the first two, the third wouldn't have mattered.

That said, the fact remains that he made it when it mattered. and as a NE fan, I'm happy with that.

still, it would have been tough to give the mvp to anyone but brady considering the problems the Pats D had. oh well. time to try to sleep. then it's time for hungover work, along with hundreds of thousands of other NEers.

Wow I bet his leg is insured for millions. Two superbowl victories in the last three years are due to him. Quite and accomplishment.

I had the same thought at the end of the game. There was no single MVP, nothing really standout. The whole Pats team just did "just well enough", just like the rest of the season. Go Pats!

But, can you imagine if Vin missed that third kick? Ouch. I don't think he would have taken the return flight to Boston, even if they went on to win in OT.

Too bad it didn't go the other way, Deshaun Foster would've had my vote. He did the same against the Pats' D as he did against the Eagles for 6 (and a big 6). I'm sure he wouldn't have won mvp, but he'll be very interesting to watch the next few seasons. Hopefully Carolina keeps him.

He can't help that one was blocked. The other was a shame though.

MVP? Not Brady. Branch, 10 for 143 and a TD.

I was thinking about that, but the man at the helm made it all possible.

Not so sure if that's true. Looking at the replays he booted the second one on a line-drive, and if you look closely enough, you'll see that it hit the DL-man in the shoulders!!! I don't think those big ole front guys have that kind of hops. That's definitely Vinatieri's fault, plain and simple. As was the first one he pushed.

And this talk about him MVP or HOF?? PLEASE. What amazes me is some people actually believe this....and it's VINATIERI, sorry, but seeing it mispelled in the thread title was driving me nuts!
