It was well-known that Eddie Jordan was the REAL coach behind the 2-time Eastern Conf Champions. When he left the Nets to coach for Washington, it all went down hill. Byron Scott was left by himself to realize his poor skill... and now he is out of there!

I feel bad for Jordan. If he would have waited 6 months he could have been bumped up to head coach of the Nets, instead of being stuck with the Wiz.

Bottom line...besides any play where Kidd catches a rebound or outlet pass, darts up court and looks at his wife and son in the front row while rubbing his shoulder and throwing a behind the neck alley-oop-slam dunk pass to either Martin, Jefferson or Kittles..the NETS are BORING. So I deduct that to optimize fan pleasure..they need someone to make the other parts of the machine work. |

Your right and I don't think he should have been fired but being first in the division isn't saying much considering they are barely breathing over .500.

Yep.. and the Nets have won 5 straight... I think Byron wasnt as good as he got credit for. A lot of the players liked Eddie Jordan, the assisstant coach, better until he was hired by Washington, and the Nets missed the opportunity... although Frank's doin a FINE job
Byron was all attitude and full of himself, while he didnt do much work... players said that he rarely stayed after hours, while assistant coaches like Eddie Jordan and Lawrence Frank worked late w/ the players... Cant argue w/ numbers... well.. not in this case at least

Byron Scott is not at fault here. How can you expect to get the full potential of your team when its star player, Kidd, is a whiny punk who didn't want to play for him?!1

Well look at the new coach now... he's gotten the full potential out of the players... if anything there is still more potential there... Granted I don't like NJ or Jason Kidd... but if the team respects their coach then they will play better... obviously they didn't respect Byron Scott

I dont think Byron Scott could handle the Lake Show... they have too much drama for him... just look at what happened when one player didn't like him... The lakers have too many big name players for a coach like b.scott to come in... too many egos to control... but the thought of him going back is a good dream to have...
