The TFP Super Bowl Contest
***This thread is for all members***
The Super Bowl is Sunday. The culmination of a long season of good calls and tough decisions. But it has led to this: The TFP Bowl!!! Sion and present_future are the final two in a season long TFP Football pick-em contest. They, along with you, are going to make picks for Sunday’s game. But just picking the winners and total score is too easy, especially for those two. It is time to really figure out who is the pure football genius, and who was picking winners based on uniform colors. The TFP Bowl is based on seven (7) different choices, which have different point values. The total score you receive is based on the number of picks you have correct. The total points add up to 100 for all of you who like round numbers. When you make your picks, list the number (1., 2., or 3., etc.) and then your choice. To the choices: Sunday February 1, 2004 6:25pm EST - NFL Championship Game (Super Bowl XXXVIII) New England Patriots (16-2) Carolina Panthers (14-5) 1. Winner (team name) - 30 points 2. Total points (both teams) - 20 points 3. First team to score (team name) - 10 points 4. First score (FG/TD/Safety) - 10 points 5. MVP (player name) - 10 points 6. Coin Flip (heads/tails) - 10 points 7. First commercial (see below) - 10 points For #7 we are looking for the type of product that is being advertised. Your choices are: alcoholic beverage, non-alcoholic beverage, automobile, food (any), or other. This will be the first commercial aired after the opening kickoff. A moderator will close the thread Sunday before the game starts - but keep in mind, if the mod closes the thread at 12:01am, it is their prerogative. Good luck to all. ***SPECIAL NOTE TO SION AND PRESENT_FUTURE*** You must PM me your picks in order to maintain complete integrity of the TFP Bowl champion. Once both of you have made your picks, I will post them in this thread. *EDIT* This could be presented to either Sion or present_future, assuming they hit 100 points. Since the TFP prize closet is empty, I would be willing to part with this trophy to final champion, provided they hit 100 points (I'll even pay for shipping!) If you aren't one of the two previously mentioned - sorry, you lost too long ago to qualify. http://www.photobucket.com/albums/10...TFP_Trophy.jpg |

Just a quick note/question.
What constitutes the "first commercial?" Is it the advertisement immediately following the opening of the Coverage, or immediately following the opening kickoff? |
Kickoff
