Superbowl-Boom or Bust this year?
Panther fan here so it's a boom for me. But, both the Panthers and the Pats have long gone with little respect in the league. The Pats are getting a fair amount now but not so in the past. Carolina gets squat.
I really don't mind that fact that we don't get a lot of press or that we always seem to be the underdog. So far it's worked for us. My question is, what is the national opinion of the matchup between these teams and will there be a more or fewer people that tune in to watch. In essence, what will the ratings be for this game as compared to previous games. Maybe its because I'm partial because my team is in but, for true football fans, this is a terrific matchup and should be one of the SB's ever.

The Panthers remind me a great deal of the Ravens Super Bowl winning season. Phenomenol Defense and just enough offense. That tends to be very difficult to hype up and the Stuart Scotts of the world have a difficult time getting their lazy eyes to see the whole picture. ( I know I'm going straight to Hell. )
I am excited for the game. I would love to see a great 14-10 game played with two powerful defenses dominating the offense. My Pick: Patriots 19 - Panthers 12 /done guaranteeing a 45-18 blowout

The national ratings for Patriots games have been incredible. The last game had the highest rating of any program over the last year (I can't find the reference right now). So, I think the viewership will be good.
There may be a bunch of people tuning out as the game goes on, if it turns out to be a defensive battle.
