Knicks Turning Around?

The Knicks today completed a 8 player deal, involving:
Stephon Marbury, Penny Hardaway, and Cezary Trybanski going to the Knicks for Antonio Mcdyess, Howard Eisley, Charlie Ward, Maciej Lampe, rights to Milos Vujanic, 2 1st round picks, and cash.

Wow...

the Knicks gave up a lot for those players, but Marbury is a franchise player that can change a team... Hopefully the Knicks are moving in the right direction...

It's a good deal for the Knicks who are stacked at the power forward position. Plus, they get a major upgrade at the point. I don't know what the fuck the Suns are thinking.

looks kind of desparate... but we'll see, its better than nothing... no only if the heat can pick up one more player...

anyway... Marbury is a good player... Penny, i never though he was any good... shaq made him look good in orlando... thats about it...

The Suns gain something like $20 million of cap room from this deal, plus the two first-round picks. Might be a place a certain Laker might want to try, given his publicly stated desires to test the FA market this offseason and desire to lead a team on his own.

I think the Knicks might've done alright there. After 2 rounds (or more?) of knee surgery, McDyess has always been a little dodgy, albeit a great player when in form.... so?

Also, how do you think ward or eisley (assume one of them are gonna be starters) are gonna go at phoneix?

the word here in phoenix is that the suns might be looking at that, depending on how this trial thing works out.

the suns are one of only a few teams (clippers, nuggets) that will be able to afford a big name free agent over the summer. neither of the two of those really sound like plausible places. the clippers are just too close to the lakers, and completely different franchises. and the nuggets, well i think you can figure that out yourself.

The Knicks will do nothing with Isiah running the show.

they are thinking 2 frist round picks form a team int he lottery

now if they have a bad year as well they could end up with 2 very goood rookies comeing in next year

and the year after that

Starbury has too much of a ego. To me, it seems like he's more about himself rather than his team. Also Penny isnt as good as he used to be after his injuries. I think the Knicks will be rebuilding and 500 or below for awhile.

AS a Knick fan, I don't mind the trade. I do mind firing Chaney (not the firing Chaney part because he was the worst coach in the league) to hire Lenny "I am older than Moses and haven't won shit in two decades" Wilkens. He sucks. Fratello sucks.

We should have gone after a guy like Doc Rivers. It is not his fault Orlando used 10 mil a year on Hill. He is a good coach. They let all of their players get away. Miller for Gooden when Gooden had not proven anything?

The reason I don't really care about giving up two draft picks is this, when was the last time the Knicks drafted someone who started on their team? Frank Williams started for a couple of games, but other than that it goes back to CHARLIE WARD. It has been a LONG time. We are talking about the same dumb ass Knicks that picked Frederick Weiss over Ron Artest. When was the last time anyone saw WEiss? when Vince Carter was putting his nuts in his mouth by jumping over him!

THe one guy that might hurt out of this trade will be Milas (foreign PG) or Lampe. He is supposed to be a star in like 5 years.
