TFP Week One NFL Playoffs Tournament
Congratulations to those who survived the lengthy season and finished in the top 16 players. Following are the players who are eligible to participate in the playoff tournament:
1. Spartak (160 points) 2. Sion (158) 3. BonesCPA (155) 4. present_future (154) 5. steelerz (152) 6. bundy (150) 7. crewsor (149) 8. cheezhead (147) 9. Minx (147) 10. crfpilot (145) 11. rogue49 (142) 12. AL9045 (136) 13. grumpyolddude (135) 14. gov135 (133) 15. absorbentishe (132) 16. djtestudo (132) The tournament is a single elimination format. Therefore, no one should have an advantage heading into the playoffs. Anyone in the tournamet can win. Here are the the matchups for the first week: 1. spartak vs. 16. djtestudo 2. Sion vs. 15. absorbentishe 3. BonesCPA vs. 14. gov135 4. present_future vs. 13. grumpyolddude 5. steelerz vs. 12. AL9045 6. Bundy vs. 11. rogue49 7. crewsor vs. 10. crfpilot 8. cheezhead vs. 9. Minx The games will be picked on winner of each game. The tiebrakers have changed since the regular season, so please read them carefully: First Tiebraker: Total points of all games played on the weekend. Weeks one and two have four games (eight teams) being played. All points of all teams playing is the first number. Closest without going over. If both go over, then the closest. Second Tiebraker: Highest scoring team of the weekend. Again, you have eight teams to choose from in weeks one and two. Team name is needed. Third Tiebraker: Lowest scoring team of the weekend. Team name is needed. rouge49 will close the thread the morning of the first playoff game each week. If you do not have your pick in by the time the thread closes, your opponent will automatically win. (Do not complain if rogue49 closes the thread at 12:01 am.) At this point, there is no officially prize other than bragging rights until the first week of the next football season. Finally, since there is the possibility of "unsportsmanlike" picking (matching your opponents picks and just changing the tiebraker amounts, etc.), we trust in your honesty and sportsmanship in this endeavor. Good luck to all those playing!

I "just" PM'd BonesCPA with this quote,
unfortunately he "just" went offline after setting up the results thread. I'm sorry, your timing is just really bad...it doesn't look good. I'll leave this up the ref which we all agreed on, BonesCPA Quote:
And BonesCPA has already claimed the default winners. I'm really sorry Last edited by rogue49; 01-03-2004 at 10:43 AM.. |
