yeah, that was sad all right.
i'm guessing the players just gave it all up after ou beat ksu. there was a quote from on of the seniors (anonymous) who said he thought about flunking out instead of going to san diego. we've cycled between dallas/san diego for the past 5 years or so. i'm pretty sure that this is the end of our OC & DC. we had a pathetic 14 yards passing at the end of 1st half. we were throwing lateral pases and short screens to ROY WILLIAMS and our "big three". sick playcalling. as for the qb rotation, i dont think they've quite figured it out. it worked in some games (like t-tech), didnt work in others (like kansas state, OU). i really dont think the OC knows wtf he is doing. in the past, when we had a really solid running game going against somebody, he will switch to passing just to show them that we can pass (like against texas tech). if we had gone to bcs, the entire coaching stafff would've been back. one positive is to look for a coaching change. it sucks finishing around top 5 in the bcs each season and going to dallas/san diego.

I'm expecting to see Greg Davis get the ax and Vince Young to learn how to pass if Mock leaves Texas. The offense did nothing when V. Young was in the game and it took Chance Mock to get them back into it - Chance at least put the ball where the receivers could catch it.

Texas, again, got beat to the punch on many plays - even though they have the superior "talent." Talent will only get you so far. |

Give me a team of no-names who are all of one mind and unselfish over a few stars any day, and I'll win you a National Championship. The seniors just straight up didn't show up, it isn't the fault of Mack Brown, not at all, the D showed up and kept us in the game for awhile, but they soon lost heart too as soon as they saw the way the offense were utilizing their gifts to them. I understand that this was the third time for the seniors to go back to San Diego, but damn, you got to show up and play, whether you're in the Sugar Bowl or the Gaylord Hotels Music Bowl (or whatever it's called). It's about pride, and giving your team a better position to finish in at the end of the year, and the start of the year. I guarantee that Texas would have moved up to number three after the way Michigan and OU were beaten soundly. Argh, it's attitudes like this from sports players that really piss me off. STFU AND PLAY!
