Strength in the face of adversity
I don't care who you are or how much you love/hate your father. You have to have a ton of respect for the way Brett F. has conducted himself on the evening after his father's death.
He has shown a strength of character that is obviously respected by his peers as shown in their outpouring of support. Yet still.....his comments on the sidelines are that he will concentrate on the game and concentrate on his grief after. Hats off to a man who is a true gentleman and someone I am proud to look up to. (even though I'm a dolphins fan!) Here's to you.....and may your father rest in peace and have the opportunity to smile down on many more of your exploits! *cheers* with a tear :( |
and the man's playing with a broken thumb! more praise for favre.

Respect, whomever is watching or listening to his game, there is not doubt that there is respect for this man, on and off the field...
What a guy |
All jokes aside with how everyone says John Madden loves to jock Brett Favre and all that, but the thing is that Brett IS as good as Madden says he is and more. Brett was already contemplating retiring, and now with his father's death, it made a tough season that much tougher.
To come out and have one of the greatest individual MNF performances is a credit to his character and competitiveness. My hats off to him. |
This Bears fan is damned impressed with Brett tonight. Phenomenal. I hope the Packers make the play offs.
|
That was a phenomenol performance. My heart goes out to his family.
