How is VT only a 2.5 fave over Cal? Cal went 6-6 in a weak Pac-10 while VT, even though they've been inconsistent, would definitely have the upper hand in terms of raw talent... that line seems like a joke to me, in fact from a quick glance a few others do too..

Michigan 6 point dogs? Another sleeper there, even over the "#1 team"

Being in Southern Cal, I even have to agree with you on this one. I would have thought USC would be about a 3 point fav. Maybe the odd makers are considering that the Trojans will have some sort of home field advantage? I don't think so, I know Michigan will bring about 40,000 screaming fans, and the Rose Bowl crowd is always nearly equal for both teams.

USC by six sounds like a safe bet to me

Yeah I felt the same way LD during the Big XII championship game. Go Sooners, just didn't feel right. When they choked I thought they had messed up our Cotton Bowl invite. I already had tickets on the 50. Man that was rough there for a few days. LD you going down to the Sugar Bowl? I have some friends who have had their tickets bought forever.

I'd love to but in the business I'm in getting out of town is difficult.

Yeah this is probably your busy time of the year. Being in education helps in this case, little else is good about it but the time off certaintly is good.

I went from law enforcement to education - taught fifteen years and bought into this business - while the days off have gone away I do work for a much better employer and the crappy politics of education don't bother me at all other than the fact my wife still has two years to teach before she can retire. You know, if education was about kids, and not about kiss ass politics the country would be a better place.

Damn straight. I am strenched pretty thin this year. They just reorganized the district four sites, three counselors, the math just doesn't add up and yet the expect more and more. Ahh well a hug from a kid I helped makes it all worhtwhile. And then somedays, well you know...
