Tough call, FSU has been inconsistent this year, and so has Florida, but they isolated their inconsistency to the beginning of the year. Florida is on a roll right now, so I'm going with them.

They're playing at florida, so I'll have to put my money on them also.

Has Rix EVER played better then "shitty" in a big game?

I think that Florida will win going away. Rivalry games are hard to predict, though.

Here's why: Florida State has leess to play for, they've wrapped up the conference and can't leap other teams like Michigan and Texas to improve their bid with some losses by LSU and USC. But Florida really needs this one.

And djtestudo is absolutely correct. Are you really gonna put your money on Chris Rix?

Rix played a marvelous fourth quarter (of course coupled with a spotty Florida D at best). He catches a ton of hell (deservedly) but I'm glad he pulled this one off...nice win for the 'Noles.

Very exciting contest. The referees were ridiculous - not only were some calls questionable, the refs let guys run up and down the field jawing at each other. I saw five or six instances where a sideline warning could have been issued, and I would hope that the refs were ashamed at the jawing going on after each play. You don't need to throw a flag, but you need to be in control.

...And then the class act after the game by players from both sides. It will be interesting to see if anything at all happens to these players - if you throw punches like that you shouldn't get to play in the next game. Lee Corso got something right for once. He pointed out Ohio State/Michigan played in a heated rivalry game where the stakes were ten times as high - but you didn't see the extra junk like you did here.

A see-saw game, Leak looked lost at times, while Rix eventually got it done. Rix's legacy will be mixed, but he sure beat Florida.

I guess this means that USC is going to the sugar bowl?

What exactly happened at the end? My father said he turned it back on as FSU was celebrating at midfield and the Florida players went nuts.

and that huge fight at the end of the game....pretty "classless" of both teams huh? (im being sarcastic and just messing around)

They had to use PEPPER SPRAY to seperate the teams.

Plus the officials needed a police escort to get out of the stadium alive.

I guess I shouldn't have tuned out during the last 30 seconds.

Several of the players on both sides weren't affected by the pepper spray. It's been used on them so many times that they're accustomed to it. (One guy said it's the only way he can get sexually aroused. I hope he was just joking.)

Shit like this happens when you have teams full of thugs.
