Danny Fortson Suspended 3 Games

Friday, November 28, 2003 ESPN.com news services NEW YORK -- Mavericks forward Danny Fortson has been suspended three games without pay for a flagrant foul against Suns forward Zarko Cabarkapa, the NBA announced Friday. The incident occurred in the fourth quarter of the Mavericks' 121-90 loss to the Suns on Wednesday night. Fortson was ejected from the game after the penalty two flagrant foul was called. Cabarkapa broke his right wrist after he was pushed by Fortson while driving to the basket. Cabarkapa is expected to be sidelined six to eight weeks. |
