Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk!
The jayhawks were pretty dominating at home today, playin extremely well.
all of their players look real good and looks like bill self has done a great job! the main reason i decided to post this is cuz this was the first top10 matchup of the season. #3 vs #6. Kansas is going to be badass this year and i think that they can cruise their way to another final four. (even after exrcuciating conference play).

The Big XII looks pretty solid again this year. Kansas is going to be good. OU will be good if everyone can stay healthy. OSU has alot of talent but seemingly can't find consistant starters. Missouri looks to be pretty good. It will be interesting to see what Bobby Knight ccan pull out of his hat this year. I think it will be a good season.
KS was up last I saw.

Michigan St. made a good comeback in the 2nd half. but the Jayhawks are definitely the team to beat... at least in the Big XII. getting Bill Self was huge (Roy who???). as for the on-court talent... Simien, Miles and Langford look like they're gonna be really tough to handle. J.R. Giddens is just a freshman, but he looks to be a major contributor. one player that did NOT look good was Jeff Graves. the Jayhawks will need better inside play than they got tonight or they'll be cruisin' to an early exit.
then again, it's only November... they've still got 3 months before it really counts. |

We all thought the Big12 was going to be great in football this year too, but they've disappointed as a conference. That's not to say that trend will continue, only that you need to hold your proverbial horses and se how the teams come to play.
That said, I watched the Kansas game last nite and they looked good. I also saw Bobby Knights squad and they looked good as well. Good luck to all the Big12 teams, this should be a nice season! As for Texas, Digger Phelps picked them to win it all. So for what that is worth... |

Sorry Dude I was thinking TX, I really was as I was posting it just never made it there.
How can you say the Big XII has been a disappointing football this yeay. We have a potential national champion who is undefeated, and four or five teams going to bowls how can that be disappointing?

Oklahoma has been phenominal. Unbelievable. I take nothing away from them.
But to some degree, the other "powers" in the Big 12 have had disappointing years. Kansas State lost their first three games after facing the Boys and Girls Club of Topeka for the first four weeks. Texas expected better than what looks more and more like a bad loss at home to Arkansas. Missouri and Nebraska were suppossed to show resurgence, but they've not put it together. Oklahoma State has shown some flashes, then given up fifty the next time out. Also, Colorado was ranked #27 and Texas A&M #29 in the preseason poll. They've been downright ugly this year. As for two BCS teams, you'll usually get a couple if a team from your conference is in the big one. That leaves the traditional Big12 slot open for another team. I just think that the Big12 would have had a better year if highly touted K-State hadn't dropped outta contention so early and if Texas would have taken care of business at home. Not to mention how weak the North has been this year, what are they, 0-10 against the South this year? That doesn't say very much for the quality of wins the teams from the North have against each other. Last edited by gov135; 11-27-2003 at 04:32 PM.. |

they lost top 10 draft picks last year. they also lost their coach from last year.
give 'em a lil time and ku will be back to their normal dominance.
