Miracle On Ice (The Movie?!?!) - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Not sure if this is should go in the entertainment section or rather the sports but I decided on sports as I assumed more people would find it in this section than the Enter. section.

Basically the topic says the story. I had no idea a movie was being made until i saw the trailer a few days ago. First off Kurt Russel is Herb Brooks...and it looks pretty damn hilarious. Its hard to tell if they can actually get the feel of a real hockey game on film as they dont' really show that much. The movie is being made by disney so it does have a rather goody feel of it with the extra "drama." Comes out febuary and I'm actually quite interested in how it works out...I'm afraid it could really suck though! that is one of the best stories in sports and i wish more people when take the time to reconize it as such

In my LSD trip while watching the Stanley Cup Finals (or was it the Morgan Stanley bake sale?), I remember seeing Kurt and a bunch of guys promoting the movie. I guess they are using minor league hockey players to give it a real hockey feel. I'm just praying that decide against using the plot where Tony Danza plays the Zamboni driver and convinces 4 wacky angels to help team USA win the gold while playing practical jokes on the commies.

Let's hope the US wins a big game soon so this 23 year old game can be put to rest.
