Funny How Some People Bash TCU
Yeah they had the 90th ranked schedule.
What about the 27 teams below them? They had easier schedules and weren't undefeated. Going undefeated is hard as hell, ask the 116 that have losses. Strength of schedule is important, but just because you have an easy schedule doesn't mean you'll go undefeated. |

its definately not easy to go undefeated (hats off to stoops & co)
but, any of the current top 30 or so teams could have EASILY gone undefeated w/ the schedule that tcu had to play. Examples 1) TCU Beat Tulane 38-35 Texas beat Tulane 63-18 2) TCU beat arizona 13-10 LSU did 59-13 on arizona purdue did 59-7 USC did 45-0 3) TCU beat Houston 62-55 Michigan beat houston 50-3

Yeah I agree. I don't hate TCU or anything, but there is a reason that they weren't considered for the championship. Strength of schedule is very smart to work into the formula. BCS only failed when Nebraska lost to Miami, but I don't think anyone would have beat them that year.

I don't hate them either, but their season reminded me of BYU's schedule when they won the national championship in the mid-1980's. They played noone that year. They won in the bowl game against a 6-5 Michigan team (which was supposedly the toughest team they played that year).
