Probably because they've played a schedule easier than K-State. - Texas was left off of one ballot, AND IT WASN'T MINE THIS TIME! *Points to bond007* - Miami FL was left off one ballot (mine, they've turned into whiney bitches and will struggle with every game now because Coker is benching everyone) - Miami OH was left off one ballot (see TCU comment) - Florida was left off one ballot (Mr. I-Can-Make-A-Better-BCS-Roadrage) |

takes credit for leaving TCU & Miami (OH) out of his ballot
I'm sorry, but any other team in the top 20 can KILL and then KILL again these 2 teams.

Florida is 7-3 against I-A teams, the worst record of anyone in the TFP Top 20. Say what you will about TCU's schedule (and I had them #11 BTW), at least they've beaten 10 I-A teams. Florida came up #21, in case you really care.
Apparently I wasn't the only one with Florida State above Miami FL despite the Seminole loss to them. LSU's BCS SOS is #72, Mississippi's is #57, and Virginia Tech's is #56, while Miami OH's is #55. Who has had the easier schedule? |

The Dude, I think that you should consider SOS when voting, because while your point is certainly valid about TCU, Miami OH has played alot better schedule than some of the others you voted for. Some observations: 1. USC tops Ohio State, and Ohio State barely nips LSU for fourth. 2. TCU settles into the middle of the two loss club. 3. Noone gave any love to West Virginia. Some bad football was played this year in the Big East. 4. Utah makes another appearance - I've seen them play (on TV) several times this year. They are a nice little ball club. 5. I wonder how long its been since at least one Florida school hasn't been in the top ten in the AP poll? Probably never happened in the TFP rankings. Some bowl losses and this could be a possibility. |

sure florida has lost to 3 1A teams and TCU to none, so TCU has had a better season. But we are not ranking 'best seasons,' we are ranking best teams. Florida has really gelled under leak and is a quality team now, best in the state in my opinion, and we shall see against FSU

That's behind TCU, Miami OH, Boise State, and a few others. Thats a bold statement.
Also, the "they've beaten __ Div I-A teams" doesn't hold much water. Why? Because I grew up in Idaho, I've seen what a joke the Idaho Vandals are, and they are Div I-A. It doesn't take much to be a Div I-A team, and being able to beat __ Div I-A teams doesn't speak a lot. Need more proof? Then lets talk schedules. Lets assume 28 points is qualified as a blowout. Tulane 38-35 Navy 17-3 Vanderbilt 30-14 Arizona 13-10 Army 27-0 South Florida 13-10 UAB 27-24 Houston 62-55 Louisville 31-28 Cincinnati 43-10 BLOWOUT UL-Monroe 49-7 BLOWOUT Arizona 59-13 BLOWOUT (not 3 points) Western Illinois 35-7 BLOWOUT Georgia 17-10 TOP 10 TEAM Mississippi State 41-6 BLOWOUT Florida 7-19 loss to top 25 team South Carolina 33-7 Auburn 31-7 Louisiana Tech 49-10 BLOWOUT Alabama 27-3 5 blowouts to 1. LSU wins. Now, lets do a count. Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Alabama. All teams that could beat TCU, the first three doing so easily. Anyone have any evidence to prove otherwise? Nope, because TCU hasn't played anyone.

One day an Englishman, a Scotsman, and an Irishman walked into a pub together. They each bought a pint of Guinness. Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!" |

What about West Virginia? Started out bad I know....but have big wins over Virginia Tech and Pitt, and if it wasn't for a last second field goal by Miami, would've beat Miami. They finally have it clicking on all parts of the ball. Gotta give my Mountaineers some props!!
