Tony Renna killed at Indy
 

I realize not many may know who he is. An up and coming open wheel racer that had just signed for next year with the Target Chip Ganassi Racing team. Was killed when his car hit the turn three fence at Indy today in tire testing. Brutal crash.

Just two weeks ago, former Indy winner Kenny Brack was nearly killed when his car hit the fence in Texas after he touched wheels with Tomas Scheckter. Ironically, Scheckter was racing his last race for Ganassi and Renna was signed to replace him.

Sad day in the Indy world :(

yea, i've heard his name before, but nothing about his death.

irl has had a lot of drivers with close brushes with death (and death itself) these days. i dont know how you can trust your life in one of those small cars going in ovals (it's understandable for CART cuz of their road course racing).
