Biggest Fantasy Football Bust so far!

Hey just wanted to get your guys ideas on the biggest fantasy football bust this season.

Who has hurt your draft day the most so far, not counting injuries. We all know Faulk, Vick etc. has hurt alot of teams. But who did you draft that has been playing, that is costing you some wins.

I know Peerless Price has really disappointed me this season!

gov135 10-17-2003 08:19 AM

Tommy Maddox. I thought he was the perfect late round pickup with all the talent at wide-out around him, how could you lose? I was wrong.

Jerry Porter. I know you asked to disregard injuries, but I gotta bitch about this guy. Not only is he wasting valuable roster space, I'm not sure if he's worth starting when he gets back given the sorry state of the Raiders.

Martin Gramatica. The Bucs offense just isn't getting it done - and Gramatica isn't geting the chances. I put him up on the waiver wire for Aaron Elling.

clifclav 10-17-2003 08:30 AM

Donovan Freakin McNabb. I would trade him for a pair of socks if I could get any takers. Fortunately I was able to pick up Matt Hasslebeck so i am pretty decent at QB.

RoadRage 10-17-2003 08:35 AM

David Boston, James Thrash, James Stewart, Marty Booker, Donte Stallworth, and Clinton Portis

The fantasy team that had all these losers has yet to score 100 points this season.

The_Dude 10-17-2003 10:04 AM

Jeff Garcia & TO.

I picked 'em in 1st and 2nd rounds in one of my leagues thinkin they'd be explosive, but TO just hasnt come through.

garcia is doing pretty good with his throwin and running abililties, but TO.........

cas305 10-17-2003 10:09 AM

I don't personally have him, but I also think Boston has been a real let down this year. I have always thought of him as a Randy Moss without the attitude, now he is just a not so good Randy Moss with all the attitude! Hopefully he can get his head out of his ass and become the player he could be.

BadForm 10-17-2003 10:42 AM

Rich Gannon

JohnnyRock 10-17-2003 11:57 AM

Travis Henry...Everything I read this year said pick him up early and I did...AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

MontanaXVI 10-17-2003 01:43 PM

wow no one has mentioned Ladanian Tomlinson

what has he done lately? 9th best in the league in rushing yardage but only 2 TD's this guy I thought had more upside than any other RB in the NFL this year, an improved fullback, a top notch wr so teams couldnt stack the box and I would have epxected a little bit more than his current stats, although he is avg just over 5 yards a carry

SAM821 10-17-2003 02:51 PM

im shocked.... I cant believe no one has mentioned TOM BRADY!!!
this guy sucked! he gave me 3 games of under 20 points in a league where QB's avg 40 points....

Big time bust = Tom Brady

crewsor 10-17-2003 02:52 PM

Peerless Price has sucked ass so far, I traded him for Tai Streets just in time for the sob to post one good week with 20 some points. Daunte Culpepper hurt me some too being injured a couple of weeks but I had Ramsey for a backup so it worked out ok.

bond007 10-18-2003 10:57 AM

McNabb

absorbentishe 10-18-2003 12:01 PM

Anyone I drafted. If they're on my team, they must play way under their potential. All of my teams just suck.

justin218 10-18-2003 09:06 PM

on my fantasy team I would have to go with tomlinson or henry... I picked tomlinson with the #2 pick in the league and they are down so much that they throw the ball a lot. Henry is kinda inconsistent as well, and I hope McGahee doesn't steal his job in the next month. Overall though, I don't think I either of them is too big of a bust. A real bust would be Kurt Warner...

yankeefatboy 10-18-2003 09:43 PM

Keshawn has killed me as has Bledsoe. Oh and don't forget Corey Dillon.

Begora21 10-19-2003 11:51 AM

Warner and Faulk

See, in order for a guy to be a bust, they have to be GOOD before hand. Boston is playing at 240 because he wants to, yea, talk about a smart guy. Thrash? A moron picked up a Philly receiver and expected points? James Stewart is overpaid and completely worthless. Booker basically was just forgotten about the past few years and could sneak in his catches when he played defenses that sucked (hmm, Minnesota, Green Bay, Detroit for 6 games...). Stallworth is a young guy on a team I *correctly* predicted as going 7-9. Portis is hitting the wall finally, was bound to happen sometime this year.

The biggest bust IMO (mostly because they were on my team) are Dillon and Duce Staley. Dillon is lucky to get a touchdown, which is the extent of his points, and Duce has just been sucking it up.

Midlandmadman 10-20-2003 11:07 AM

I was getting pissed off at both Deuce McCalister and Trent Green but the last 3 weeks they have kicked ass!!!!! My record is now 4-3 but I lost the first 3 games cause of thoes two.

AL9045 10-20-2003 12:15 PM

Biggest? Obviously McNabb. He was a typical first round pick.

Glad, I got Holmes with the #2 pick.

bparker805 10-21-2003 01:54 PM

Mine were Jerry Rice and Tim Brown. I know it was a bad idea to pick up these two fossils but I did it anyway hoping for the Raiders to return to thier form from last year. But alas they are showing thier age. It hasnt hurt too bad because my work horses Ahman Green and Ladanian Tomlinson have picked up the slack.

Rudel73 10-21-2003 03:38 PM

Quincy Morgan, not the biggest flop but his stats don't compare at all to last years. I've been disapointed with his performance so far this year

dylanmarsh 10-21-2003 04:57 PM

David Boston, for sure.

queedo 10-21-2003 07:27 PM

Jerry Rice has been the biggest bust to me

petergriffin24 10-23-2003 10:39 AM

I would say McNabb ever since he signed that big ass contract with Philly he has done jack shit the biggest thing he did was get injured and unfortunately that doesn't get me any fantasy points!!

mb99usa 10-23-2003 10:47 AM

Boller, Carr, and Blake. These are my 3 QB's. Luckily I've got good RBs and WRs to make up for them.

If he is a bust than your league doesnt put any enough emphasis on Td's. That and last week he rushed for 167 yards on top of his guaranteed 2 touchdowns. Im happy with Henry but I to though Boston was in for a breakout season. Cocky SOB.

 And I have all three on my team this year. Football sucks!!!!

Plan9Senior 10-23-2003 06:09 PM

Rich "I have no O line and no receiver that can outrun anybody" Gannon and Edgerrin "i have a headache I can't play" James.

Wow, your league picked QBs in their first round selection? Hehe amateurs..wish I was in that league :p

BigGov 10-23-2003 07:01 PM

McNabb has never been a dominating Fantasy Football guy. The only reason he's a good quarterback is because he can come up with the really big play when he absolutely needs to. Other than that, it's pretty iffy.

Yeah always draft the RBs first, that's the first rule of fantasy!!

Superbelt 10-24-2003 06:35 AM

This was my first year doing fantasy football, Didn't know the game and drafted McNabb first. I learned real quick how stupid I was and how much I screwed myself by not getting a top tier pair of RB's first, then WR's.

QB's are amorphous and there are always good qb's sitting around unpicked any given week.

I'm coming back up now though after some heavy trading and add/drops. I picked up Westbrook and D Davis early. I'm hoping they continue to perform enough to get me a couple wins. And got Bennett, just waiting on him to get dominant RB status again

I have only 3 of my original draft picks left, Pat Ramsey, Hines Ward, David Boston and now I just reacquired Bennett. A complete change. Almost nothing I started with worked out.

DHS 10-24-2003 05:10 PM

Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens....

wrongfullyaccuzd 10-26-2003 07:39 PM

Dillon, who's on my team for the second consecutive year, and Bledsoe. And Thrash, also on my team. Oh and Keyshawn, also on my team. Oh, and Kevin Johnson...guess whose team he's on.

yeah Faulk pre injury was a disapointment, C-Mart, has been horrible, after averaging 1200 yards a year for the last 4 or 5 years his performance this year has hurt.

Josh Lyman 11-02-2003 02:43 PM

Rich Gannon. Loser.
