Missouri/Oklahoma
Oklahoma is running out of legitimate threats pretty quickly. Missouri QB is a threat - but he's matched by Oklahoma's quick linebackers. Still, Missouri shows some life. Oklahoma 35, Missouri 24 Miami-Fla./Temple Miami is also running out of legitimate opponents, as it takes on the Big East bottom feeders. No let down is possible against Temple, although Brock Berlin has two turnovers. Miami 48, Temple 10 Georgia/Vanderbilt Georgia unveils the class of 2007 by halftime. Georgia 56, Vandy 0 Florida State/Virginia Virginia was the wiseguy pick for the national championship at the beginning of the year. They can match FSU athlete for athlete at most positions. Who ya gonna take, Matt Shaub or Chris Rix? Rix finds a way to lose a close one. Virginia 24, FSU 21 Southern Cal/Notre Dame What's The Dude have against Notre Dame, anyway? Notre Dame played some nice defense against Pittsburgh last week, and their offense made enough big plays to win. Southern Cal abuses ND's rookie quarterback, however. USC 17, ND 7 Washington State/Stanford Washington State is the most overrated team in college football. This trend continues for another week. Washington State 45, Stanford 7 Iowa/Ohio State Iowa simply doesn't have the defense Ohio State does - the Iowa defense tends to give up too many big plays. Ohio State gets it done. Ohio State 21, Iowa 17 Florida/Arkansas What do we really know about the Arkansas squad? They beat a weak Texas team for a nice victory on the road, then lose a few eeks later to an underrated Auburn team. Florida is coming off a nice win, but also struggling to find their identity. The team that wins this one can right their season, the team that loses is in some trouble. Florida 21, Arkansas 17 Purdue/Wisconsin Here is the premier matchup this week. I watched Purdue/Penn State while the rest of you watched the Red River Slaughter. Purdue didn't impress. Wisconsin 34, Purdue 21 Western Michigan/Northern Illinois Western Michigan has had alot of succes in the past. They recruit well, and are a dangerous opponent here. Still... Northern Illinois 34, Western Michigan 17 Michigan State/Minnesota Minnesota lost in the worst way to Michigan - a total collapse on both sides of the ball. Look for a hangover as Minnesota struggles to find itself. Jeff Smoker is that good. Michigan State 45, Minnesota 14 Texas A&M/Nebraska Texas A&M finds it difficult to copy the blueprint of Missouri with their style of offense. However, Nebraska likes to play with fire - bad special teams and excessive turnovers Texas A&M 21, Nebraska 7 Miami of Ohio/Ball State Miami is coming of a bye week called the University of Buffalo. Well rested, they dominate and show why they are best team in the MAC. Miami 56, Ball State 10 Texas/Iowa State Texas gets a chance to show it can run the ball again, and they'll need to. Iowa State lost to Northern Illinois, and Northern was able to run the ball against them. Texas gets it done on the ground in an unimpressive game. Texas 28, Iowa State 17 Virginia Tech and Tennessee Tennessee could have lost to South Carolina and Marshall this year. Neither is a bowl team. Tennessee is in some trouble this year. Virginia Tech 33, Tennessee 21 Ohio University/Kentucky Kentucky is coming off some disappointing losses against good teams. Ohio is banged up, losing its top two quarterbacks in its historic win over Central Florida. But when you run a triple option, how important is the QB's arm? The thrid string quarterback can't be as bad as Jamal Lord, right? Ohio University 54, Kentucky 12 EDIT: Upon futher research, Ohio is ranked #91 on RoadRage's rankings while Kentucky is ranked #92. What a match-up - and Kentucky is seventeen point favorites. Bet OU big - and thank RoadRage for your winnings. Or blame him for you loss. Last edited by gov135; 10-15-2003 at 11:50 AM.. |

And I only bet on double-digit underdogs. Any point shaving that is going on is working for me. I honestly would take Missouri+26 & Temple+31, and would strongly consider Colorado+18 vs Kansas State and Ohio+16 vs Kentucky. Don't bet Oklahoma's OU big, unless you think they're doing back-to-back 65 point games. |

I think you guys are wrong but I'm very partisan -
OU will beat Missouri by 35 Nebraska may be down but they're 10 points better than the Aggies Texas can handle Iowa State but won't walk on them OSU will get by Tech Notre Dame is going down - Again Arkansas by 10 over Florida

As for the snooze bar matchup, at least I know someone is reading what I put on this stupid website. Sorry for the error - I think I got a little over-excited. Anyhow, the OU (Ohio University) Bobcats are big winners this week. Or at least spread coverers. |

Purdue had the big win this week to take charge in the Big Ten. Wisconsin could never really get their offense going - but qb Sorgi was taken off early. Purdue's defense looked much better to me this week.
Ohio State was a better club than Iowa today. They played better defense and special teams - and the offenses were a wash. This score could have been worse. Texas A&M should be ashamed. I saw the highlights - and they let Jamal Lord get the corner a few times for big plays. What the hell did their defense think Nebraska was gonna do? Go deep? Iowa State really misses Seneca Wallace. They got beat up front today, as Texas ran the ball. Michigan State was on ESPN2. They outplayed Minnesota, while limiting their running ability. Michigan State would be scary if the defense comes together. Ohio University is tied seven to seven at the half with Kentucky. Looks like we''' win out little bet. Go Bobcats. |
