I just hope if the Marlins get to the series, their coach doesn't croak. The guy is in his 70s!

Very surprising the Marlins won - the series that is. Then again looking at their stats, the Giants really arent that great. How did they win so many games this year?

The marlins are an actual team... not just a bunch of high priced players thrown together and forced to bring home a trophy *cough* Yankees, braves *cough* , it was real sweet seeing a team like the marlins with a 40-50 million dollar salary defeat the giants. i hope the cubs make it too, they are a team w/ heart. Nice World Series would be Marlins vs BoSox, with the fish winning of course...yes, i am from miami.

Well, by that rationale, then, it should be Oakland versus Florida in the World Series, since Boston has the third highest payroll, behind NY Yankees and LA.

They may not have won a championship in, what, ever, but they've been thowing money into Dorchester Bay ever since Ruth threw the piano.

i dont like baseball.

but when i heard how the marlins won, i turned on ESPN to see the highlights, and it was really cool, and i'm happy for them.

now back to my not liking baseball stage again

It's really looking like the Marlins are a team of destiny this year. With clutch hitting and pitching they seem to never be out of it.
