ok, so this thread looks a little lost amongst all of those NFL and Baseball threads...
but people its only nine sleeps now until the worlds greatest sporting event kicks off.

most of the teams have arrived on Australian soil.. the excitement is mounting.

ok, so we´ve already discussed who´s probably going to win... here....

but lets have a more detailed tipping contest...

prizes will just be bragging rights (sorry, i don´t have any fluffy dice in the NFL tipping comp... yet...)

what i want to know is;
1/ whos going to come first in each pool?
2/ whos going to come second in each pool?

easy huh?? so to make things interesting...

3/ whos going to come last in each pool?

here are the pool lists....

POOL A - Argentina, Australia, Ireland, Namibia and Romania.

POOL B - Fiji, France, Japan, Scotland and USA.

POOL C - England, Georgia, Samoa, South Africa and Uruguay.

POOL D - Canada, Italy, New Zealand, Tonga and Wales.

this tipping comp is just for the pool matches.

AHHH!! U.S. AS LAST?!!! ARE YOU KIDDING?!! Japan gave up 106 points to Canada, Canada for crying out loud! Most of the experts are even saying there's a chance for them to finish runner-up in Group B. We're not the push overs you think we are.

well, i´m just trying something different.
you´ll notice that i put SA above the poms as well.
and i put canada above Italy, which is also a strange choice, but hey... ya never know.

i´ve nothing against the US (they were the only team to put a try against the wallabies in the 1999 world cup).

but c´mon Japan, they´ve got to get better. (esp when NZ beat them by about 145 -7).

i doubt US as second in pool B, esp when Scotland is about half Australian... haha...

right here are my fantasy picks... (fantasy meaning i know it´ll never happen)

A - Australia, Argentina - Ireland.
B - Fiji, Scotland - USA
C - South Africa, Georgia - England
D - New Zealand, Canada - Italy.

that´d make for a Tri-Nations domination.

2. Scotland (This is tough though as Figi could give them a run for their money.
Last: USA

2. South Africa
Last: Uruguay

Group D
1. New Zealand
2. Wales (Could be Italy though as Wales are truly pants)
Last: Canada (Could be any of the others though).
