It's cool that the team is going to the playoffs and I'm happy for them but screw the South Florida fans and their fair weather attitude. They only came to the stadium to watch Dontrelle pitch or for bobble head night. They rank slightly higher than Expos fans.

I went to Ebay today and looked up tickets for the playoffs for the Cubs. A pair are going from between 500 and 1000 dollars. You can go to floridamarlins.com and get playoff seats for nine dollars. You can go to atlantabraves.com and get playoff seats for eight dollars. What are people in Florida and Atlanta doing that they can't spend less then ten dollars a seat and be able to say they saw the best players in the league go at it in the 2003 playoffs? That's the kind of game where you save the program and ticket stub. Anyhow, sorry for the rant, and congrats to the Marlins. I am glad to see some of baseball's younger stars getting a chance to be the focus of discussion. This should be good for the game. |

Hell yeah Sam! Marlins rock man, i'm one of the sponsors (el dorado) and i must say this seriously kicks ass, about us not filling the stadium during the early part of the year, well, shit, what do you guys expect. They've been a pretty mediocre team for 5 years now. I started watching once McKeon was appointed manager, wow, that guy is awesome. He's 72 and makes pretty quick decisions which is badass, finally... someone that can take out a struggling pitcher after he throws 3 str8 balls, thats the kinda guy florida needed. One dumb thing though was pitching to Thome during the Phils-Fish series, thats pointless, i seriously hope we dont pitch to Bonds during this series.
