Chiefs Chances
I would like to know what everyone thinks of the Chiefs this year. If you belive in the luck of the 3rd year with the Chiefs coach then this year might be it. What about the return power of Hall? Holmes, going to be able to get the ball where the Chiefs need it and when they need it there? Sims, Kansas City's defence good enough to stop some of the better teams in the NFL?
Thanks =) |

They're looking very good right now, but it's still early in the season. Anything can happen in the next few weeks. I remember seeing the Chargers start out 3-0 to playoff talk only to have a really bad season. Like I said, still too early to tell for sure.

The Chiefs are for real though, unlike the Chargers. They have always had a powerful offense, kind of like the power offenses of St. Louis when Warner was always hot. Last year their D sucked, but it has improved to an average/above-average D which is enough, considering they'll put up around 30 points a game.

The next 5 weeks will show wether the Chiefs are for real or not...
The Chiefs play: @ Baltimore (2-1) Denver (3-0) @Green Bay (1-2) (on the frozen tundra) @Oakland ((1-2 Buffalo (2-1) then they have a bye week...if they can come out of that stretch with a decent record, they have a chance. The D has yet to be really tested and somebody will probably find a way to exploit them. I am a life-long Chiefs fan so it is fun to see the way they are playing but I watch with a thought in the back of my mind waiting for them to implode |

I see at least 3 W's which would make them 6-2.
Baltimore has no passing offense, and will falter. Denver is probably the most rounded team, and it could be a matchup of 4-0's when they play. Green Bay has struggled when Favre has struggled, so if they get to Favre, the game is probably the Chiefs. The Raiders haven't been able to get anything going, so I see this as a win for the Chiefs. The Bills looked very impressive in their first 2 games, but last week look mediocre, which Bills team will show up? I see them on top of their division though by the end of those 5 games. |

Well, the Chiefs look pretty damn good so far. And my Raiders can't get shit going, so the Chiefs are looking pretty good to fairly far this year.
The Broncos look damn good too. Lookin bleak early on for the Raiders.

We'll find out how good they are next week at Arrowhead vs. Denver. I'm a Denver fan, and I fear going into your stadium like you will fear going into ours later in the season. Denver struggled vs. Detroit, but they were resting both Portis and Mike Anderson. The teams really look similar in their approach, both with solid running backs, improved D's.
It should be a great one. CHeese |

Like it's been said, this next Sunday will be VERY interesting with the Chiefs playing the Broncos in Arrowhead. It will definitely tell us who is looking strong for the playoffs (Chiefs and/or Broncos).
I think that the Broncs were thinking of the Chiefs while they were playing the Lions and recieved a MUCH needed wake up call to FOCUS!! So I'm actually happy that they got shook up this last Sunday with a close game.

Assuming their offense continues to do well, they are guaranteed to hit the playoffs. But I think their defense will make them a game-to-game shot in the dark. Defenses win Super Bowls.

The chiefs are looking pretty good so far. Last year they had plenty of offence but no defence. This year they have both. I look for them to go far. This should be a pretty good test this weekend.

No, seriously....I don't like the chiefs, but I like Dick Vermeil. He was the talent in St. Louis and he's proving right now with Kansas City. He may cry a bit, but he seems like a stand up guy. He sure seems to know football. Like stallion said, how they handle the next five will determine if we see them in the playoffs.

I think they can win this weekend, yes kinda tough team but, look where it is being played. Hardly anyone can beat the Chiefs at home. Not only this the more wins they get the better they think they are which could help or hurt. Anyway, no way they leaving a game with out at least 6 points (Hall). Well, time to go rent my big screen TV for the last game of the season with the number one, playoff winning Chiefs vs. ______
