Anyone here play slowpitch (softball). Mixed league?
Anyone play fastpitch?

What's your favorite?

I play on a mens fastpitch team, and spare for a mixed slowpitch team (beer drinking friday night league).

I prefer the mens fastpitch, much more competitive.

I played slowpitch all my life until I was 'recruited' to play at college. The switch to fastpitch was a difficult one. I ended up only playing two years (for many reasons). I now play slowpitch whenever it is possible. I like slowpitch better because I always enjoyed defense the most. Sometimes playing fastpitch can be like a National League baseball game. Good pitchers mean less balls hit. Maybe I'm weird. :(

I played mixed league slow pitch and men's slow pitch and honestly, I prefered the mixed, but it sounds like for the same reasons you prefer the fast pitch.

Frankly, I did not enjoy the competive nature of the all men's league, prefering the slower "let's have fun" mixed league.

My one major beef was that we did not practice as a team...and I really sucked at throwing.
