Ah Crap QB Troubles (FF)
Ok so I'm on Yahoo Sports, and I click on Fantasy, after reaading one of the editorials, when I click on Fantasy again, there is a thing on Culpepper being doubtful and possibly out next week. Then I click on Fantasy again, now there is a thing about Holcomb possibly missing next week's game as well.
I've been doing pretty well so far, looks like I'm going to go to 3-0 and my opponent next week is so-so. But are there any QB's I should pick up just for the hell of it? I have Ramsey in there, and picked up Leftwich yesterday when Brunell went down. Any chance of Leftwich starting or should I go pick up another QB? |
even if leftwich starts, i dont think you are going to get too much production out of him.
i say get a new qb. |
The only ones that are left or Kordell Stewart, Quincy Carter, Doug Johnson, and Kyle Boller.
Btw, my league starts 2 QBs. |
I'm in the same boat. I had Pennington as my #2, lost him and picked up Doug Johnson, and I have Culpepper as my #1. Last week I ALMOST started Charlie Batch over Doug Johnson and when I didn't, Johnson laid a -5 on me. Shoulda took the zero!
I would probably look at Boller who seems to be getting more comfortable. Ramsey isn't bad, and hopefully one of your top 2 will be OK to play. |
I think you can count on Ramsey for some production. I'd also stay very far away from Leftwich - he's a player - but not this year.
I'm from the Cleveland area, and I'd be surprised to see anyone but Holcomb start Sunday. And he's a pretty nice start against the Bengals. Of the guys on the waiver wire, try Q. Carter, who has some nice numbers, or, if you like taking chances, Kordell Stewart opens up the new Soldier Field on MNF. He has pretty darn good primetime numbers.... |
Yeah, I had Pennington too, so I thought I run with Culpepper/Pennington to start off the season, but I guess not.
I'll stick with Holcomb then, hopefully he'll start or maybe I'll have to work out a trade or something. |
Go for Ramsey and Culpepper.
Ramsey will put up acceptable numbers because of the system. Culpepper is tough and will probably play throught the pain. On the other hand, if he doesn't, the zero will be more reliable than the other options. |

i think you will do well with ramsey...but im not putting leftwhich out yet. this rookie is a stud who can make plays. if he does start against houston this weekend, watch out.
|
Leftwich should start against Houston, Brunell will sit with his elbow laceration.

Well, all I know is I got Michael Vick, which will be great whenever the hell he comes back.
As for now, I got Trent Green in there. Been disappointing thus far, as has Warrick Dunn. |

as a lifelong Steeler fan, let me advise you to STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM Kordell. Green Bay doesnt have a great D anymore, but they are more than enough to make KS look like shit, given that he no longer has the kind of weapons at his disposal that he had in Pittsburgh. The ONLY hope you have starting Kordell would be a nice long TD run, and thats a slim hope at best. you have been warned. |
