How Bad Do The T'wolves Want To Win?

It seems to me that the T'wolves are finally doing whatever it takes to make sure they make it out of the first round of the playoffs. KG is doing his thing like always, but it Hudson playing amazing on the offensive end. Not to mention the triple and double teaming on Shaq & Kobe. It seems the T'wolves just want this more than the Lakers right now. It looks like its time once again for the Lakers to prove that they can't be beat in a best of 7 format. Otherwise I see the T'wolves rolling on and breaking the curse of the 1 round knockout.

Not a huge basketball fan but as a native Minnesotan I'd like to see them move on. They're showing a lot of heart on the court and thats what I like to see in any sport.

Go WILD!!!!!!!!!

I was incredibly impressed with the Timberwolves NOT folding after KG fouled out in overtime. They should have even more confidence going into game 4. Now they know they'll play in Minnesota again.

I'm still not convinced that they'll beat the Lakers, but they look strong so far.

dragon2fire 04-25-2003 09:56 AM

that game was insane

that is the only word for it

Brian Fellows 04-25-2003 11:24 AM

I was impressed how the T-Wolves were not affected by the horrible officiating in the 4th and OT. Sometimes you really begin to wonder what game some of those refs were watching. It will be real nice to see if they can finish the lakers off so we can see someone else from the west get a shot at the NBA championship.

maximusveritas 04-25-2003 11:51 AM

It'll be tough. They have to win 2 more. But I hope they can do it.

gov135 04-25-2003 01:29 PM

Yes! The Twolves can do it.

The Lakers simply aren't playing well. And I'm a Laker's hater, so I hope the Twolves do it too.

Halx 04-25-2003 01:30 PM

As much of a diehard laker fan I am, I will be proud of the t-wolves if they end up beating them. They are playing amazing basketball now.

sixate 04-25-2003 01:48 PM

I'm torn on this. I love the Lakers, but I almost don't want them to win 4 in a row cause then everyone will think the Lakers are better than Jordans Bulls. The Bulls woulda won 8 in a row if MJ didn't retire. As long as the Sacramento Queens don't win it all I'll be happy. I hate Webber.

way2young 04-25-2003 03:17 PM

As a Minnesotan, I must say I'm in shock and awe by the fact that 2---yes 2---of our professional sports teams are kicking butt.

The_Dude 04-25-2003 03:30 PM

i want lakers to see it a lil farther

betman 04-25-2003 03:53 PM

I am a huge Laker fan but , I have to tip my hat to the Wolves if they win. They are finally earning respect.

healyk 04-25-2003 08:24 PM

I know the league is terrified of the Lakers not making it out of the first round, but that officiating was ridiculous. At least this time the team that played the better game still won.

Cuball 04-26-2003 03:03 AM

Wolves are going hard !!! If they keep playing like this I think the lakers will be out in the first round

Sure hope Magics make it to the second round !

Great Scott 04-26-2003 03:25 AM

I have never seen the Lakers' role players step up in the way that role players for other championship teams have. I mean Horry is always underrated and Fox will occasionally have a good game, but I think it is purely the skill and brilliance of Shaq and Kobi that brought them the titles. I would love to see them knocked off by a team like the Wolves, guys who play with heart.

SACKINGSFAN 04-26-2003 11:04 PM

I don't like the t-wolves or anything but Garnet is playin on awhole different level. Being a kings fan i just want to see someone beat the fuck out of the lakers i could really careless who it is as long as they knock them off there high horse

Zeld2.0 04-27-2003 12:53 AM

I live in LA but i hate the Lakers.

I think they're too showy and their attitude of "well its playoffs we can kick butt regardless" is just wayyy too arrogant and cocky for me.

And the officiating was horrible - it would be a -travesty- if Twolves lost that game, and indeed the series if that continues. Just seeing how horribly the fouls were called against TWolves just seriously makes me want the Lakers to lose more.

Im a big fan of the Jordan era Bulls too - yea they probably woulda gone 8-peat if he didnt retire those 2 years inbetween lol.

Well, I'm sure some of you saw the game this weekend. With the Lakers evening everything back up I feel the best is still yet to come. As much as I love the Lakers I still feel that the T'wolves could have won that game if they hadn't taken Hudson out for so long and let him get cold. And I have to say I'm with Sixate, if the Lakers don't get past the first round, I'm glad the T'wolves put them out and not the Kings.
