The Bills are for real!
The Buffalo Bills are for real! I haven't been this excited about a Bills season since the Super Bowl years. The front office really got it done this offseason by picking up key defensive players and the icing on the cake was this past week picking up Lawyer Milloy. It kind of reminds me of the Cornelius Bennet pickup in 1987. They won big yesterday, beating the Pats 31-0. I also was very impressed with Takeo Spike's comments after the game, saying "This was one game, we have to remain humble"
In what is arguably the toughest division in football, I pick the Bills to finish first. |
The Bills looked real good, and so did my Lions.

I was at the Bills/Patriots game yesterday, rooting for the Patriots, and came away with the impression that the Bills are the front runners for the AFC East. That defense is not only fast (ok, maybe not Sam Adams lol ), but hits hard as well.
They swarmed around the ball at all times and made Brady, who never got into any rhythm, nervous at every snap. On offense, Josh Reed needs to learn to catch. He dropped a pass right in the numbers while WIDE OPEN on a flee-flicker. But Bills fans can relax as Bobby Shaw and Eric Moulds caught everything thrown their way. Travis Henry fumbled one hand-off, but ran effectively otherwise (2 TDs). Good Luck Bills fans, you have the makings of a very good team. |
Hey Metrodub,
Don't feel bad, I was at the NE-Buffalo game last year when the Pats trounced the Bills. I agree about Josh Reed, although I've seen him make some pretty good catches. Undoubtedly, he will take alot of ribbing this week. Good luck to the Pats too and just remember, it's only one game. I think the AFC east is the toughest division right now. |
Sunday was a great day to be a Bills fan.
It was like opening your presents Christmas morning; every few minutes you'd get another awesome surprise and when it was all over, the feeling was indescribable, the best feeling Bills fans have been able to feel in many years. Our D was simply amazing. With Pennington's injury, Miami's psychological blow caused by the loss to the Texans in what should have been the lock of the week, and the pounding New England took, the Bills have been given a huge lead in the AFC East race. It's their division to lose. -Mikey |
I agree with Mikey, it's the Bills' division to lose, cuz it's ripe for the taking after whipping NE like that.

If this were a 1 game season yep the bills would win the AFC East... but it's not.

All I can say is that the Bills look very dangerous and the same goes for the Chiefs. I would like to see these 2 teams square off.

Although the NFL season is short, it's certainly not THAT short. Talking about winning divisions in September is like talking about the World Series in May.
0-2 teams could still win their divisions and 2-0 teams could still throw it away and finish last. Enjoy the fast start--it's obviously better than a slow one, but remember, it's a long way to December. |

Don't forget that the Chargers started out great last season and then starting sucking on the exhaust pipe. I think the Bills are talented but they won't last in the long run. Bledsoe is worthless.
