NFL on TV
Someone better tell the NFL that people are going to stop watching football on TV, if for every minute of actual play, there is 1 minute of commercials. The Pats/Bills game started at 1.05 it is now 2.10 and it is 9.38 to play in the second quarter and a commercial is on.
|
Thats the thing though. You KNOW people arent going to stop watching football on sundays.
|
Stop watching?
Maybe not, but you might stop watching the second and third games of the day, if your team is not playing. End of third period, 45 minutes of football, the game started 2 hours and 33 minutes ago, minus 15 minutes for the half that is 2 hours and 18 minutes to play 45 minutes

Yeah, its pretty rediculous. I usually just channel surf during boring parts of any non lions games.

3 hours to play a 1 hour game. That is what most of the games take.
I am beginning to think maybe we should do like they do in Europe. Put commercials on the Uniforms and signs on the sidelines. I think I would rather have pay per view and not have any add or ex jocks giving thier opinion and telling us what the special teams coach told him on thursday about the backup punt return man. That is why we have all the commercials, to Pay John Maddens salery |
I'd rather sit through 3 hours to play a 1 hour NFL game than the last 30 seconds of any NBA game. Those last 30 seconds usually take about 20 minutes with all the unnecessay fouling when the game is out of reach and the slow, deliberate free throw shooting that follows.

I am talking apples, you are talking oranges, nobody watches the NBA anyways. Everyone watches the NFL. The NBA, a bunch of black guys with tatoos, running around in thier underwear.

Well, at least you had a carefully thought out, intelligent argument about the NFL versus NBA. If ratings were determined by your criteria: skin color, body art and amount of clothing....I guess bowling is more your speed. White guys, clean skin and completely clothed. Have fun watching Walter Ray Williams go against Pete Weber at the Greater Akron Open. You shouldn't have to worry about too many commercials infringing on your fun. |
We are talking about sports, bowling is not a sport, I don't even think it is on TV anymore. In fact in my part of the country you can't even find a bowling alley. As far as the clothing remark, a basketball uniform resembles men's underwear.
