College football has begun!!
 

and we already have an upset, #14 Maryland was beaten in overtime by Nortern Illinois U. Even though they are favored to in the MAC.

well, it began last week when kansas state beat california.

Your right, The Dude, but that K-State game wasn't worth my time. Boring. K-State needs to learn how to play without the mistakes, and they won't have the luxury of playing Cal's defense every week.

I watched the Northern Illinois game on Fox Sports Net after the Indians game (it was joined in progress). I caught the second half, and rooted for NI the whole time (MAC country). Northern Illinois did what they needed to do to win.

I have always felt that if more teams from the Big Ten, ACC, Big-12, etc. had to go to the smaller D-1 programs football stadiums there would be upsets. Give Maryland credit for going, give NI fans credit for filling the stadium at 28,000 strong.

Minnesota goes to Ohio University, and a few others for MAC fans to look forward to. I don't think this is the only upset we'll see.
