The speculation I've read is that he has actually contacted Ernesto Hoost via e-mail about a fight. This would be a much more interesting match-up because Tyson would have to worry about kicks. If Tyson were to fight Sapp it would probably not only be a 1st round KO, but one of K-1's biggest stars would be ruined.

Wait, I just read your post. No, you haven't.

Sapp would kill Tyson. Tyson's skills have diminished to the point of being a mediocre boxer. Now he has to face kicks to the head, legs, and torso along with punches? No way in Hell Tyson wins. He is really desperate.

*Sigh* Not only have I seen Sapp, I've seen him hit the canvas grimacing from a Cro Cop punch. Cro Cop doesn't punch as hard as Tyson nor does he have the handspeed of a Tyson that is shot and 37 years old. Sapp was recently knocked down by Kimo Leopoldo for Christ's sake. :rolleyes: He's slow, doesn't have good footwork, and rarely kicks. It is true he beat Hoost twice but styles make fights and Sapp has his number. He doesn't have much chance against Tyson though. In case you haven't realized, physical stature doesn't determine the winner. Lennox Lewis is big AND a very adept boxer. Sapp is just big.

We will have to wait see if this comes off? Stupid match imo for Tyson. Wants to try his hand at boxing again. Very mediocre the heavy scene at the minute, not that he is anything special now.

If Sapp fights Tyson I think Tyson will win. I will be very surprised if Sapp could win if he was almost out againt an opponent in Kimo who has less than stellar striking capabilities. If it was an MMA style bout than Sapp would have a good chance.

Is there grappling allowed? Choke holds, etc.?

Unless Iron Mike decides to bite Sapp, he's gonna get his ass kicked.

K-1 is kickboxing so I think tyson will win in the first round

Lewis made a little girl out of Tyson their last bout. Did you see Tyson after the fight rubbing Lennox's face. He s ruined as a fighter. Thats why he's looking to boxing alternatives.

if Sapp gets kicks and other strikes off I think Tyson is done for, however looking at what Kimo did to Bob Tyson gets a shot in Sapp is finished, so it is pretty hard to tell as of right now who owuld win, lemme think about it all day at work and repost when i get home.

My money would be on Tyson. That Sapp guy is far too huge to be able to avoid Tyson's blows.

This is a joke. Tyson wins. I wish he'd fight in a real tournament / venue, instead of K1. K1 is fun to watch, don't get me wrong, but it ain't anything close to MMA, and too many people seem to think that it represents martial arts in general.

If you watched the Kimo / Sapp fight then you'll see the power Sapp has, Kimo is by no means a wuss guy, he'swon many fights including Tank Abbot in a UFC rule fight. K-1 is NOT! anymeans kickboxing, its many different styles it looks like kickboxing to many and its based on it, but only 20% of the fighters actually study kickboxing rules.

I donno how Tyson can hit nowadays but he's old, and he's probably more of a figurehead for boxing.
