Bob Sapp
Has anybody seen this guy fight?
Nope.
Haven't seen him, but I heard he's a monster. Didn't he just lose to somebody by submission? I guess it is all about strategy sometimes.
That man might be the largest human I have ever seen. What is he, 6-7 390? I couldn't wait for that commercial for his PPV to come on.
He is 6'4 375, according to his interview on ESPN radio the other day.
Christ...he makes Warren Sapp look like tree sap...
The guy is a monster. He is one of the most intimidating people I have ever seen.
Did any of you see him fight in K-1 at the Bellagio? (sp?) He got rocked by a much smaller Kimo! It was a very entertaining fight. Sapp was able to recover and put Kimo out. Then he called out Tyson. And now Tyson has signed with K-1. This is getting insane!
Refer to this thread . Sapp may be a Japanese pop icon but he is no world class fighter.
Yeah. Sapp is a K1 joke. He'd get his clock cleaned by any real NHB fighter, assuming it was a no-holds-barred style fight.
Good fight for tyson. He'd get killed in mixed martial arts, so he compromises and goes into a sport that remains boxing friendly. People I'd bet on against tyson. Jeremy Horn, Coleman, Tito Ortiz, Frank Shamrock (even now), Rodrigo Noguera, Mario Sperry (even now), Mark Kerr, etc... Lots o people. Just not Sapp. For those of you that don't know about K1, its similar to muai-thai, so people seem to think that it counts as martial arts. These guys fight in K1 because, for the most part, they are kickboxers/strikers and boxing converts that aren't gonna make it in the Mixed martial arts scene. The big exception to this was Maurice Smith, who had a successful career in K1 and mma. Gary Goodrich has also had some success in both--actually, he had more success in K1 since he was a brawler with no grappling / ground skills anyway. Cheese |
