Super Bowl: Dolphins over Eagles (damn those dirty fish)

Biggest Surprises: Bengals (Have an outside chance at 8-8 with their GREAT young receivers, Dillon, a great defense now matched up with one of the best defensive coaches in the league) and Bills (They should go far this year)
Minor Surprises: Falcons, Lions, and Jake Plummer

Biggest Flop: I desparately want to say Redskins, but I'll say Rams.

dont count the rams out. i think they'll surely make the playoffs and could give a good chase for the big trophy.

rams just had a bad season and they WILL rebound.

Plummer is a good player and does great when other talent is around him (Arizona State). His career is also similar to that of Vinny Testaverde's. Stuck with a bad team, then moving to better teams that actually have talent, which makes them want to prove they are as good as people said they once were.

The thing that worries me with the Rams is that they're playing in a tough division, they're going to have a QB controversy or the press breathing down their neck every time Warner makes a little mistake, injuries are still a question, and their defense needs help and has not gotten what it needs.

And why do you suggest that?

Because they lost their Douglas from a line which is already stacked?

Because they lost linebackers from a core that sucked so bad it couldn't get any worse?

Because Staley is holding out? So the running will rely on the shoulders of McNabb, Buckhalter, and Westbrook?

Remember, they're playing the Cowboys and Redskins a total of 4 times.

I have to agree, I think Andy Reid is the most overrated coach in the NFL. And of course, my suprise of the Season will be the Dallas Cowboys. Yeah!

I'm going to go out on a bit of a limb here with the predictions. My predictions will be a surpisingly strong showing from both the Falcons and Patriots and possibly a Super Bowl appearance by one or both teams.

Reason: Falcons added a great target for Vick in Peerless Price.
The Patriots took a great passing defense and made it an excellent all-round defense by stocking up on run stoppers.

The biggest disappointment of the year will be the Bucs being eliminated in the playoffs after a strong showing during the regular season that would normally make people think a repeat will occur.

I also think the AFC East will be the toughest division in the league, followed closely by the NFC South.

I can't wait! I'm not sure who will be in the Superbowl, alot of teams have upgraded big time.

I think these teams will make a run - Falcons, Rams, Bucs, Dolphins, Chiefs, Pats and of course the Raiders.

I think the Falcons will be the biggest disapointment, due to the fact that Michael Vick has not been declared immortal by the football gods. There is so much hype; he'll be hurt part of the year and Price will struggle being double-teamed.

I think the Ravens will suprise everyone (except for anyone who looks at a defensive lineup sheet...) The defensive line is looking better by the minute, We now have FOUR linebackers who will start needing liability insurance for their hits. Plus we actually have an offense this year, with real receivers.

I forsee a Eagles-Ravens Super Bowl.

And a rookie QB. Not Super Bowl material.

You mean the one we'll have on third string all year to learn? We have a fine QB in Chris Redman, and a decent backup in Anthony Wright. This team is in the playoffs.

I watched Boller in person for four years. Redman ain't a fine QB, but he should start. Boller's completion % is deceptive, because he had NOTHING to throw to for four years, so he'll be allright. Not this year though. Newsome and Billick have done a good job rebuilding, and the Ravens may look a bit like the Buc's this year. They won't go all the way yet though, but they'll have a good year, I feel.
I'm pulling for my freakin' Denver Broncos.
Great running, nice receiving, but I have some HUGE questions about OLine, QB, and the secondary.

I am ready for some football.

I'm worried about Jeff Garcia. Back all screwed up before training camp even started. Not a good sign. They do have a decent backup, but I don't really see him leading the team to the playoffs, let alone the SB if Garcia goes down.

My prediction is the Raiders take the gold. The Bucs fall on there face. I just don't think the Bucs can repeat with the Quarterbacks they have on staff. The Raiders have to make their run this year, next year they will loose some of their marqee players due to age.

I hope the Lions are a big surprise....... I'm not holding my breath though!

Yes, the Raidahs making their Fourth Annual "final run before everyone leaves". Can't get over the hump.

Ack, as a loyal Broncos fan, I'm hoping the Raiders fall apart. However, I doubt it'll happen, and I think it's the pick of the barrel in the AFC.

Personally, for the Broncos, I'm less scared of Jake Plummer, and more so of our shaky offensive line and inexperience defensive backs.

The Phins probably will do good. They improved their already good defense with Seau and they got Griese as a back-up. To top all of that off, Chambers is going to be better this year, and Ricky will still be Ricky.

Although, I wouldn't mind if say McNabb busted out a 40 yard run juking out Seau and jumping over Thomas to win it all

So you're going to be using the sub-par sucky QB all season? The Raven's D will carry them to the playoffs. Redman will throw them out of the first round.

At least we have a selection of QBs now. =)

Actually, we're gonna be using the QB that played great for six games last year before he hurt his back.

Boller WILL NOT START. He has to learn the Ravens system, and prove that his one good year wasn't just that. He has the skills, and I believe he'll be starting next year from what I have seen.

Also, I remind everyone of Trent Dilfer. He's not particularly flashy or even good. But he was able to complete the passes in the second half of the 200 season that got the Ravens to the Super Bowl. Remember, three of the four games the Ravens played in those playoffs were blowouts.

Safe prediction. As long as Favre stays healthy, they're going to be great. Buc's will make it to Super Bowl if GB does not.

Remember, the Ravens had Marvin Lewis, a more experienced team, and almost a few receivers back then too. Since that, they've redone their entire defense, and oh yea, they also lost the experienced QB that didn't make any mistakes and gained a few rookies. Super Bowl winning? Not a chance.

Redman may be great in your eyes, but he falls extremely short of almost every other starting QB. Redman is in the Jeff Blake, Quincy Carter, and Chad Hutchinson level of QB's.

We're barely in training camp and my Niners already have some question marks. Will Jeff Garcia's back hold up? What's going to happen to Terrell Owens at the end of the season when he becomes a free agent? Will Tai Streets be able to pick up the slack left with the departure of J.J. Stokes?

With that being said, I can see us adding another NFC West title this year.

you cant forget the keeping of gadsden and getting derrius thompson, with those two and chambers and mcknight and mcmichael, fielder or griese will have quite a crowd to throw to!

I dont gather too much hope from seau tho... he will give is a couple great years and teach our rookies the ropes...but remember he was drafted the same year as smith... and hes an old fart (a good one, but almost outta gas)

My dear Lions hae looked impressive so far, but it is only pre-season. I hope for a Pro-Bowl caliber year for Joey and Rogers. Both have the potential.

Out of the NFC, I'd like the Bucs. Eagles rely too much on McNab (like they didn't the previous years), too average of a recieving core, lacking a dominant running game, and their defense is weak up front and in the linebacking core.

Out of the AFC, I'd like the Patriots.. They'll beat Miami when they have to play in the cold. Raiders are too old, Broncos are struggling to make 500, and Chiefs are in too tough of a divison. Mcnair will die from all the shots he's taking to play.

Patriots by 21.
