Road to SlamBall
i was watching the training and draft on tnn and saw one of the sickest things on tv. I think they were practicing jumping on the tramps and the camera wasnt even fixed on the hoop as it was just getting a shot all the people on the sideline watching/waiting there turn for the drill. All the sudden a scream happened, and litterally everyone on the sideline gave a "OHH" and turned their heads away. The one white guy put all his weight on his ankle going down and it tore his foot off, only hanging by a bit of skin left. It was a so bad, it was a x-rayed and the image showed a 90 degree angle of his foot to the rest of his leg _|. Suprisingly, they saved his foot.
Crazy ass, but very entertaining sport |
Still, if there was a slamball court around here that I could get on, I would give it a try.

Slamball is savage.
|
slamball is the game of 'who wants to tear an acl?'
aside from that (or in addition to?), it's quite entertaining. |
It's funny how the coaches and fans take it seriously.

Slamball kinda pisses me off still, because me and my friends "invented" invented that sport when we were like twelve. We always talked about how cool that would be and everything. It just makes us feel like we were somehow ripped off. I know how utterly stupid that is, considering we were probably one group out of hundreds who had the same thought, so.........
Still, I think Slamballs cool as hell, and I wish they would start facilitating YMCA's and the like for the sport, cause I'd definitely pick it up. |
I think it's funny how they think that this is the sport of the future. I really don't see it taking off. Although pro wresting is huge, and that's not even real...
|
I just saw that injury, and I had to turn it off...just thinking about it makes my skin crawl...*shudder*
|
Yea I agree. I don't see it taking off, or being the future of the sport, but it's still fun to watch
